German designs are so satisfying to look at. The shapes are balanced *just right*. Everything is so compact and well put together. Military gear is designed for efficiency & purpose, but somehow German military designs are also pretty.

@Sen Se Agreed 100% I'm a designer, but in the art world and I have similar stories. There are people who think a creative career is a fun hobby to chill to. Haha nope! There are long hours and tons of failed projects on this path. But the satisfaction is immense!
Germany runs the world, they have the best engineers in every field, they also produce the best technology in my opinion, that's why i have so much respect for them.
German, American, and Russians have the best looking equipment imo

The entire NVA officer corps was communist and thought that the GDR was better. And it was easier to train new soldiers, because NVA soldiers had to understand a entire new way of thinking.

@@BluBOo_ diggah. Wer hat dir gesagt, dass Deutschland auch nur ansatzweise genug tut? Wir sind das 4. reichste Land der Welt und unser Militär ist qualitativ weit unter vielen Ländern der zweiten Welt. Ja wir haben das 7. größte Verteidigungsbudget aber die Bundeswehr ist restlos im Arsch. Wir sind definitiv eine Hürde für unserer NATO Partner. Vorallem für die USA, Polen, Frankreich, Großbritannien und Kanada. Wir können ja nichtmal ein paar hundert Panzer für die Ukraine locker machen. Unsere Verbündeten leisten bei WEITEM mehr als wir. Und wieso? Weil wir verdammt nochmal nutzlos in der NATO sind. Das beste was wir leisten ist eine strategisch vorteilhafte Position, geographisch gesehen.

German army is in disastrous state, it has no officer cadre, most of it's equipment has rusted in magazines and hangars and now can't be used, etc. Hopefully things will improve after they increased their military spending though knowing how pacifistic Germans are I wonder if they won't stop the rearmament.

@@jonny2954 I mean, it was their general who said that after giving away 4 Pzh2000 they were defenseless. It was Germans themselves who couldn't even send a brigade into Poland after Putin invaded Ukraine because their logistics are in such atrocious state. Many countries which bought German tanks for example are now looking for alternative sellers because Rheinmetall can't finish years old contracts. If you ask around, a lot of German soldiers will tell you Bundeswehr has a few great looking units to show off but most have outdated gear that's literally falling apart.
I'm not saying Germans don't have good tech or good machines, I'm saying they have far too little to realistically go to war.
