My time on Bomb was 35minutes.... I should try it again now, years later. Anyway, since the stage in that game was Another Dimension, it was the song that played during the fight. I only learned later that Shadow Kirby is from Amazing Mirror, so I'm really glad the song reflects that this time around

Basically, Dark Mind made Shadow Kirby (who I will call Shadow for convenience) and Dark Meta Knight (Dark for convenience) using the worst parts of Kirby and Meta Knight respectively, then realizing Kirby didn't have much evil to him proceeded to pick favorite children. We all know that Dark is bloodthirsty and ruthless and cruel but Shadow was just shy and a little mischievous, well when Shadow stepped up to help guard the mirror world like Meta Knight he started overcoming that shyness, fast forward and he's become a mischievous little shadow eager to fight so let's think for a minute. This is admittedly a bit of a theory but the whole reason Meta Knight was trapped in the first place was he was trying to guard the mirror world which presumably he still does, just like Shadow. Now, maybe Shadow started looking up to Meta Knight and wanted to be like him, thus him battling you here as a way of saying "Hey look how strong I got!" Both to Kirby and to show off to Meta Knight, this is supported by him being the boss of single handed mode along with being the only Solo boss fight. He's not violent he just wants to show off how strong he is. But that's mostly a theory so feel free to disagree with me on this and I'll go back to listening to this song now

So this game pretty much confirms that this is indeed the same Shadow Kirby from amazing mirror. His Second Pause screen text states that he’s attacking because he wants to play a mean prank, but doesn’t know his own strength. (Don’t know how beating the crap out of someone is a joke.) His Final Pause text’s specifically states that he’s so powerful because he’s a guardian of the Mirror World. It basically confirms it

Fighting him with Staff yourself is actually really easy. Beat him on my first try with it. Staff Shadow Kirby against Bandana Dee is an entirely different story however
Listening to this track, I can imagine it playing during a scene in a hypothetical new Kirby anime in which Shadow Kirby decides to stop having a lack of courage unlike his Dream Land counterpart and gains the determination to step up and protect the Mirror-World from whatever threats may arise. Or atleast an extended version of the Forest/Nature Area portion of the track, if nothing else.

I have a crazy headcanon as to why Shadow Kirby went from Shy little dude who still has a heroic heart to prankster imp who fights you for no reason: You know the phrase “Mind over Matter”? I personally think that, despite looking much closer to Zero, Dark Mind is actually just a mirror world version of Dark Matter. After Dark Mind was defeated by Kirby, the mirror world settled down and Shadow Kirby took up the mantle of the world protector, while Dark Meta Knight went off to terrorize people. However, similarly to Zero coming to dreamland after Dark Matter Swordsman’s defeat, Mirror Zero (Who I’ll just call Nil because it’s synonymous with Zero) came to the mirror world after Dark Mind’s defeat. Nil attacked and Dark Meta Knight quickly joined up with Nil because he’s evil, and Shadow Kirby had been becoming lazy due to lack of danger in the world, and was already shy and weak, so he was quickly ambushed and corrupted. Shadow Kirby due to still being a pure entity like normal Kirby wasn’t fully turned into a ruthless monster like Dark Meta Knight, but ended up become a rude prankster jerk who interrupts at the worst possible times. The new corruption of the mirror world also helps to explain what happened with Sectonia and the appearance of the shadow colosseum in Dedede Tour, which should have been destroyed or purified after Dark Mind’s defeat. This is just a headcanon, though. I do feel it’s the best way to explain Shadow Kirby’s random swap in personalities without just saying HAL is retconning lore.
Final Chapter, Floor 45 Shadow Kirby The mightiest *Shadow Kirby* yet is back for another round! His devastating power suggests he is a guardian of the *Mirror World,* found far beyond the sky.
He does not fight like a normal player though, there are so many times where he will anticipate what you're going to do before you even move on screen, and his gobble speed, his turning & reaction speed, and crazy mid-air combos (depending on the ability), it only feels like fighting an elite player until these little segments happen, then you'll be dead before you can make your next move. (At least as meta knight when you use his meta-counter you'll be able to hit him back regardless of him always getting the first hit in and use it to hit him during unstoppable attacks like the parasol dash.)
I'm happy that Shadow Kirby is the same from Amazing Mirror, I always wanted a real match with him at full power, and this theme is so intense as the closest duel I've ever had any game goes down. The only question I have though is, how come unlike his other associates from the Mirror World (Dark Meta Knight, Shadow Dedede, and Dark Taranza), on defeat he doesn't shatter like a mirror but instead floats up into the air and explodes? Kinda strange even for Kirby's shady counterpart. I just hope he appears in more subsequent games, and is either playable or has a bigger role in mainline games, also I hope his model doesn't change (or at least if he changes make it so he turns to this when he's poised for combat and go back to normal gray out of battle).
But it's still a Dark Meta Knight remix. Even if you don't like it. I personally think the TDX version was way better than the amazing mirror one, but each to their own
I'll have you know... I spent a total of 30 minutes trying to beat Shadow Kirby on Very hard whilst the 10 minutes were me being good for the other battles... *WHAT*
Me when I try to play the game: *Shadow Kirby tells me no, takes me to the corner and beats me until I start crying.* Me when I spam Magolor’s basic attack: *Plays lame, traps Shadow in a corner for a good portion of the fight and nearly infinites him, somehow wins with 22 minutes on the clock.* Please, tell me what’s wrong with this.
Ironically it went the exact opposite for me. Rather than spamming ground attacks to stunlock me and my partner he used the jumping move that shoots a barrage of bullets at you. Could barely get a hit on him if not for my near-max charge speed fireball spamming. It was a disappointing win.
Ok, serious question, which one's the canon design? Because I thought this one was "parallel Kirby" but this game says it's the same one as amazing mirror...

Maybe he looks like this because he has some type of power up, because if I remember correctly, he used to die in a few hits in Amazing Mirror and definitely doesn't anymore. It also makes sense because this design came from the Triple Deluxe sub game.

Ah yes, Shadow Kirby, also known as one of the most contradictory lore characters, Monsieur Auto-Guard, and the reason I’m never getting all platinums in this game. Also big example of why I dislike this game as a whole, with how aggressive/overbearing he is in a game without invincibility frames which results in TONS of stunlocking, though not as bad as the double whip/staff, anyone with water, and other misc. tag teams Very Hard mode likes throwing at you in single-handed mode. I like his design(s) and theme though.

Is it just me or does Shadow Kirby act like someone is playing as him?
He does not fight like a normal player though, there are so many times where he will anticipate what you're going to do before you even move on screen, and his gobble speed, his turning & reaction speed, and crazy mid-air combos (depending on the ability), it only feels like fighting an elite player until these little segments happen, then you'll be dead before you can make your next move. (At least as meta knight when you use his meta-counter you'll be able to hit him back regardless of him always getting the first hit in and use it to hit him during unstoppable attacks like the parasol dash.)

I was not expecting this.
I'm happy that Shadow Kirby is the same from Amazing Mirror, I always wanted a real match with him at full power, and this theme is so intense as the closest duel I've ever had any game goes down. The only question I have though is, how come unlike his other associates from the Mirror World (Dark Meta Knight, Shadow Dedede, and Dark Taranza), on defeat he doesn't shatter like a mirror but instead floats up into the air and explodes? Kinda strange even for Kirby's shady counterpart. I just hope he appears in more subsequent games, and is either playable or has a bigger role in mainline games, also I hope his model doesn't change (or at least if he changes make it so he turns to this when he's poised for combat and go back to normal gray out of battle).

I'll have you know... I spent a total of 30 minutes trying to beat Shadow Kirby on Very hard whilst the 10 minutes were me being good for the other battles...

Ironically it went the exact opposite for me. Rather than spamming ground attacks to stunlock me and my partner he used the jumping move that shoots a barrage of bullets at you. Could barely get a hit on him if not for my near-max charge speed fireball spamming.
It was a disappointing win.

Two different kirbys. Ones from the mirror dimension, and one was created directly from creating Kirbys soul into a dark version.
One is from the Dimensional Mirror and the other from the Dark Mirror maybe?
@@rodrigogomez4288 This game's pause screen descriptions call him a stubby gray ball though. He's the same one. This game's design reminds me of Hypernova, though nothing he does in this form actually resembles Hypernova.
@@ivoryvt That is actually a really good point. I've never considered comparing it to the hypernova design. Maybe he looks like this because he has some type of power up, because if I remember correctly, he used to die in a few hits in Amazing Mirror and definitely doesn't anymore. It also makes sense because this design came from the Triple Deluxe sub game.

This game is so ridiculously unbalanced, why did HAL not balance the abilities to make the game actually fun? It's saying something when fans modded the game to make it actually fun and playable.

Ah yes, Shadow Kirby, also known as one of the most contradictory lore characters, Monsieur Auto-Guard, and the reason I’m never getting all platinums in this game. Also big example of why I dislike this game as a whole, with how aggressive/overbearing he is in a game without invincibility frames which results in TONS of stunlocking, though not as bad as the double whip/staff, anyone with water, and other misc. tag teams Very Hard mode likes throwing at you in single-handed mode.
I like his design(s) and theme though.
