  • Boring test of my Kraton V5 with factory Spektrum ESC and HobbyStar 4092 1480kv motor. I adjusted the stock ESC motor timing from the default 22.5 degrees of timing to 11.25 degrees of timing to see if it would fix the heating up problem with the motor I've been having during hard bashing. And also to see if it would help with startup stutter. All tests were performed with a CNHL 5200mah 6s battery.
Default ESC timing of 22.5 degrees gave me 51mph in grass and 60mph in flat pavement.

Mine did the same studder too, it ended up something was binding a little. I believe my dif was binding just enough to do what looks like "cogging". I'd go through the car good and make sure everything is at it should be and Def. Go through the diffs and shim them

The diffs are shimmed perfectly, with the pinion away from the spur gear, the entire drive line is completely free and spins freely. I'm going to change the ESC soon and post an update. After the vid I did a teardown and found a broken pin inside the rear differential.

@@yotaman0 I bet that's what was causing it. Good luck!

What pinion are you running??? I’m guessing you’re on the 15t…. Or did you get more speed lowering the timing?

I believe I was running a 50 spur and a 20T pinion. I was having a stuttering problem that was ultimately fixed by changing the ESC.

@@yotaman0the "stutter" is definitely esc. Mine just blew up but and I heard clicking noises which I thought was gearing but nah, changed the battery and magic smoke 😂😂😂
