Why yall can't have kool-aid, is it banned
I just dip half and half now I do all one side the then the other side cause I got tired or fighting skewers lol
I use that method when I add any crushed candy, definitely a game changer!
Love the videos. Is the candy more crunchy or gummy at the end? Thank you :)
Thank you and it has a crunchy hard candy coating
Thank you for the inspiration i live in texas and i would love to add them to my menu but i wouldnt know how to price them. I charge $20 for 6 candied pineapple and $30 for 12 reg candied.
You’re welcome! I would add at least $10 to the price for these.
What temperature do you set the stove? Also how do you clean the pot with excess candy leftover?
My stove has numbers so I usually set it between 6 and 7. As far as cleaning I fill about halfway with water and boil it until clean.
Thank you. How long do they last before they start to break down?
They honestly start to break down within a few hours but they last longer if frozen after dipping.
So if not served after do u freeze them again ? Or are they okay at room temp covered ?
Yes I freeze them ASAP to help prevent them from breaking down.
So, my son’s first birthday is coming up and I want to make these for his party. Is it okay for me to make them like two days before his party or does it have to be the day of??
I would recommend making them the day of due to the high water content in the pineapple which causes the candy to break down fast
@@DessertatTiffanys so if I did want to make a fruit two days in advance should I just stick to berries, like grapes and strawberries?
@@kaylah_baylah4549 berries and grapes can break down fast too but last a little longer than pineapples.. Freezing the fruit after dipping does slow down the melting process for a longer shelf life
How do you clean that pot with the sugar syrup
I put water in the pot and boil until clean
@@DessertatTiffanys you did a great job! This looks hard 🥵
@@xasia_ thank you!!! It will become easier the more you practice
How much sugar did you use to make the look aid
I used 1/3 c but you can use more or less depending on how sweet you want it.
I tried this yesterday and couldn't get the coating to harden quickly as I don't have a freezer, how can I harden the coating quickly
The coating should harden without being refrigerated or placed in a freezer as long as you cook your mixture to the hard crack stage at 300 degrees
Awesome thank you indeed
@@anguscole1you’re welcome!
How long do they last once you make them
Due to the high water content in the fruit they aren’t meant to last long at all. You can slow down the melting process by freezing them after dipping.
Love it After u make them how many days does they hold up if I wanted to sell them ?
@@mafiva45 They can last a few days in the freezer after dipping. However, I always make them same day and keep them in the freezer until client picks up.
How your candy dip get red
How much water for the kool-aid
I used 1/3 cup, measurements can be found in the description
I didn't catch recipe thks
Recipe is in the description
Do they stick together
I haven’t had any stick together
