He consistantly makes some of the worst tactical errors in the fleet and his starts are always on time but usually buried in the pack. He is either stretched to thin or simply outclassed these days.
Doesn't matter what you yell there. Both boats know the rules. The only time you have to actually say anything specific on a race course is to call for room (to avoid an obstruction or starboard tack boat). It's theatrics but it's partly about telling a story to the umpires who will also know what Ben means there.
So the TLDW is that they were losing, had to split at the final gate and got lucky? Ben got to do his shouty thing to make it a "master class"?

Was Ben yelling “Get out of the way. Get out of the way”? I was taught to yell “Leward boat” in those situations.
