Was just there (in the smoke sadly) & wish I'd seen this first! I have done the Cowichan River & cycled the trestle trail then swam in the clean waters of Maple Bay & paddleboarded in nearby Mill Bay. But no hiking due to smoke. Duncan Farmers Market was great & like you said so many cute shops! Guess I'll have to make it back there to try out the rest of your top 5!
My family was considering moving to Duncan when we came out to the island but ultimately chose the Comox Valley. Was hoping to do a trip this summer to the place we almost moved to, so this video will be a great jumping off point for my own research.
Sara Look for Chrome ..he drives a ford Van white and has canadian flags on the back he is the BEST and his channel is awesome Vancity Vanlife He is from Vancouver but he likes to go to the Island as well He is the coolest
I think the quarry is private now, i was turned away when i went down and was told i was lucky to not get a fine by whoever was excavating. Just a heads up.
