Sounds like eventually this will have the NACS port! We have to wait to see how it drives before we can make any conclusions but to me this looks and feels way better than Lyriq… at least the Lyriq that’s available today! Right off the bat the suspension improvements *should* make this a much better handling car than the Lyriq that’s currently available but we’ll have to wait and see until we drive it. Just a quick preview but if the bugs can be worked out from Lyriq and supply can keep up, this may be a great option!
At least for the US market from a practicality standpoint more manufactures should consider putting the charge port on the front passenger side like the Nissan Ariya, as it works well with existing Tesla superchargers (see Miss GoElectric’s short on the MagicDock) as well as makes curbside charging and charging when towing easier.
comes with CCS, NACS in 2025 or 2026 model years
looks like Kyle at least wouldn't have aborted his CA-9 drive to Alice's driving this as he did in the Lyriq
Why did they put the same uncomfortable rear seats in as the Lyriq? That massive wedge with the Isofix points was a dealbreaker for me for the Lyriq - such a shame.
@@theichione1827I agree, standardizing charge port location is a great idea. Short cables are easier to handle, keep clean, and avoid dropping the connector on the pavement which causes reliability problems. It would be even better to put the port on the driver’s rear. Having it on the driver’s side makes it easer to plug in at home every night.
This might have a better charge port cover and cupholders, but the Lyriq looks better.
and extremely comfortable. I think when I drove my buddy's Lyriq, I felt like it was the most comfortable car that I have ever been in.
I prefer the Lyriq and Blazer’s upscale electric assisted charge port doors especially for the price you’re paying. Honda cheapened out on this Acura and it shows in comparison to even the Chevrolet that this shares its platform with but clearly biased reviewers like this guy are trying to change that narrative with bs.
Yeah, I get that "hearse" vibe too. (I see I'm not the only one). Looks a little goofy from the rear, overall. I appreciate the charge door though. No need for all of the complicated, motorized contraptions. The interior looks fairly nice. I'm VERY familiar with that steering wheel. It's the same as my Chevrolet Bolt EUV. LOL! 😄
I'm getting the Honda Odyssey vibe on the back end of the car.
Seems odd they would need to keep the same steering wheel.
@@ctingulz Saving costs I guess?. I have to question some of the decisions designers have made recently because it seems to be getting more polarizing to the end consumer. I personally want the piano black interior pieces to be designed out of cars. It looks nice but is impossible to up keep. The trend of adding on more screens on electric cars especially for the passenger seem a little over the top unnecessary.
"I had a problem with the Lyriq cupholders and ergonomics."
Huh? That one fiddly bit in the middle of the cupholders was all I remember you talking about there. The Lyriq center console is one of the best in any car I've ever owned. Plenty of space for cups, good wireless charger, nice storage bin and floor storage area. They even managed to add some nice shortcuts for common apps, a volume scroller, and a wheel to interact with the screen. It's so nice to use on a day to day basis. I don't really understand this complaint at all.
Because his complaints on the Cadillac is total B.S. including the driving dynamics and performance.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I totally agree with you.@@G-Rated
He mentioned the Cadillac feeling sluggish or something? There's no way, it's not sluggish at all especially in sport mode.
I will still go with the Lyriq. Much better looking. Better interior. From what I heard thru various rumor mills, GM is going to redesign the charge door on the Lyriq. I suspect it will not happen until the NACS connector comes out in 2025.
Let’s wait till we see the final. The suspension is way better
The Lyriq is probably the best looking EV, inside-out, I've ever seen. Perhaps not from the front, but still remains unmatched. Just my honest opinion, though.
HaHa Dom was right with the chrome trim dropping down in the rear it does look like a hearse. Thats too funny.
@@robert5008 Now I can’t unsee it.
@Fawkes1104 Better you see it now then after you buy it. :)
Hearse stripe on the rear quarter = thriving chrome-delete kit on the aftermarket
I don’t think you can go wrong with either Blazer EV, Prologue, Lyriq, or ZDX
fr
Totally agree. The more they keep improving only the consumer wins. Also should see lower prices
they’re all the same in most ways, so yeah.
But to say the Honda and Acura products are superior is absolutely delusional. Smokes Lyriq? Smokes Blazer? I wonder what Kyle is smoking all of the time.
@G-Rated I agree. I drove a TLX type S for 2 months. I would say the interior is normal honda. Not upscale at all. I find the base lyric interior more upscale than the top of the line TLX interior. My mother in law has the RLX, and that car had a beautiful interior but not solid workmanship.
Love that front end look. I like the pricing.. it gives me hope that the Honda Prologue will start within my price range especially if the tax credit applies. My main concern is on how well the ground clearance holds up in deep snow and how well the awd works.. I’m worried they’ll be giving up the excellent capability of sh-awd/i-vtm4 when transitioning to EVs.
I plan to put a reservation in on a Prologue to at least have the option potentially available. To be completely honest, what I ideally want out of an EV is something like a EV Subaru Forester with 300+ mile range and still the same level of ground clearance and awd functionality as the ICE version and without losing much cargo space.
With all the software that goes into EVs today, I am sure that Acura can give it a "Acura feel" even though it shares drivetrain parts with other brands.
10:50 all GM EVs also ship with 6 lugs on the wheels. Seemingly, more is shared with GM’s vehicles and the ZDX than is let on.
Yea he’s going to try to discredit *gm* as much as he possibly can and make the Honda badged products seem superior in every way. He’s a total weirdo.
Watching your video of the ZDX, with the chrome(?) trim coming down the side, it gives me the impression of it being a smaller version of hearse.
LOL! That's exactly what I thought. With the black roof and chrome strip, it totally looks like a hearse!
Agreed.
I've always enjoyed your reviews kyle, but you clearly are showing some anti-Cadillac bias here. What is the genesis of that?
GM is going to pay a price for not letting you do a review of the Lyriq a lot sooner like they did with other journalist in the Utah event. With out driving the Honda you can already recommend it over the Lyriq. Eventually you might feel like you got even with them and can give a fair review.
Yes, Kyle has a grunge
@@Ron841000which is really weird for a reviewer, he’s openly bias and apparently his viewers don’t mind it at all. The only price *gm* will pay is letting him near any of their products.
He works for InsideEVs. They have an axe to grind with GM.
Without even driving or knowing the full pricing details Kyle is coming to a conclusion this car is better than a Lyriq huh...seems premature.
It's essentially the same car but looks better
It’s a ridiculous statement considering it’s a prototype
Disagree. It’s the same car with air suspension and adaptive damper and a better interior!
The Lyriq is better. Acura could of done better. I’ll hold judgement until we have production. I say this because it has a Honda steering wheel like the Integra and a upscale Honda interior. The Type S only giving 500HP when the Blazer gives 557. No touchpad but the could of gave us one with touchscreen. Touchscreen smaller than both the Cadillac and the Blazer. They could of had interior similar to old ZDX but with modern screens and tech. Still nice tho. But no word of SHAWD or even E-SHAWD and then the getting rid of ELS
Ive driven a Lyriq a lot. I don’t agree about the lack of power for the rear wheel drive. It was plenty for every driving circumstance I could find. The one thing i will agree on is the charging door operation. I don’t know why the Lyriq went to the power door that skips badly. Everything else is so premium, I was surprised by this.
I saw the ZDX today at The Lodge and it almost looks French with the back end. I like it but I think it’s going to appeal to a different customer.
You like to say you're not a design guy, Kyle. The Lyriq is a far nicer looking vehicle. The Acura's styling is yawn status. Not ugly, but not interesting. It'll look dated by its launch.
(Edit: Looking at it more, from the rear three quarter view... it definitely looks like a hearse. 😅)
I do like the styling other than the top part from the C pillar to the back. Still, think I overall prefer the Lyriq design inside and out with this coming 2nd place and the Blazer EV coming in a distant 3rd (not a fan of that design at all).
The Honda Prologue is one as well.
Great video and awesome sound quality with you speaking, wish I knew I the wireless mic you use. Spot on
Just announced that Honda and Acura will be using Tesla/NASC's network. 2025/2026
Of course, since Honda EVs are rebadged GM EVs and GM EVs are going to use NACS.
It’s obviously a given. It would be bizarre if they went out of their way to undo the change and spend money to convert their version of the vehicle back to CCS.
You were overly critical of the Lyriq, but now you're all in on the same SUV with different cosmetics? Other than the backend, the Cadillac looks better.
But that back end is absolutely horrendous!
Lyriq is way better especially the sport
He’s so full of it. I wish *gm* keeps him away their products. He treats them like trash in his reviews too. Claiming the hood of the Lyriq had to be slammed down like it’s a 1987 Camaro. Just completely full of it and apparently continues to be.
@@G-Rated He can be biased and emotional at times, no doubt. I like his detailed reviews, and he is quite knowledgeable about driving characteristics and the industry generally, so I can forgive his occasionally bad take. Have you watched the review he did on that little Volvo EX-30? I think that's the right model # if memory serves me. It's a teeny tiny little thing that had me laughing because him sitting in it reminded me of Chris Farley in a little coat...lol. I made a comment about it just minutes before he made a statement about how large and roomy the SUV was. It was so ridiculous I had to back up the video to make sure I had heard him correctly. His review was so biased on that one, it was like an infomercial for Volvo.
I love the front but the top chrome going to the back makes it look like a hearse. I just can't stop seeing it.
No way does this car have the looks inside and out of the lyriq.
Why would Acura link with GM?
I own 3 cars. Two Acuras, in fact I got my reservation email on this car today. Now that I heard this is a GM really, I don’t think I’ll miss anything. My third car is a Tesla. I’ll stick with Tesla for EVs. Honda is very behind in the EV space. Ironic since they were so far ahead in the late 90’s / early 2000’s.
With that silver trim on the side, it looks like a hearse. A black one will complete the look.
3:00 Get over it, Kyle ! Because it's "springy" doesn't mean it won't last long !
Maybe, but the first time that I saw it myself, I thought, omg, saggy charging cables are going to wreck it. It will be in the way sometimes, and the flimsiness versus a heavy charging cable will not end well.
I disagree, the Lyriq charge door is absolute junk and sad to see from GM. My first gen Volt with GM fisher price plastic interior has a normal charge door that still works fine after almost 10 years. The Lyriqs charge door will not last 10 years.
At least the Lyriq charge door opens down so you don’t have to get the charging cord over, under or around the charge door that opens to the front on the ZDX.
I know another auto reviewer who lives in Canada would love that this Acura EV has regular door handles and not try to reinvent them like Tesla and other EV makers are doing. My concern is how the charge port door opens, I understand why they did it that way but if a charger plug isn't long enough it could be a problem.
I love that kyle is much more bothered by cupholder design than 60k+ price tags 😂
Why would the price tag bother you? It’s got a 100+kWh pack with lots of equipment. If you want a cheaper EV you can buy a used e-tron or i3 and both are still premium and way less expensive!
That’s because he understands the current BEV market and price points. When Chevy & Kia car based SUVs are climbing into the $70-80k range a $60k Acura is sane and competitive.
@@KyleConneroh i was just teasing ya, i know a vehicle like this wont be cheap 👍
@@donnierusmisel2221No y’all are just full of crap and enables his ridiculous bias.
Surprised how much I like this. Am I the only one getting A4 Allroad vibes?
Looks good! Tempting. Without seeing or test driving it yet, however, I think I'd still lean more toward the Ioniq 5 Limited AWD.
Honda is taking a HUGE gamble on using GM assembly, drivetrain, battery, etc. Historically, Honda/Acura quality is a very big step up from GM. The faster Honda can make its own EVs the better.
Honda doesn’t have any EV. Flat out, they just didn’t invest in it. It’s this or nothing. Their next one will be closer to an actual Honda - but “Honda Quality” in an EV won’t be until 2030 or later.
Honda doesn’t know jack shit about EV or how to put them together, they’re “too little too late” in the EV game, that’s the reason why they partnered with GM.
I think this is partly due to Japan trying to nationally adopt Hydrogen as its major energy source.
The Honda E has been for sale in Japan and Europe for a while. It is more like the Mini SE, and looks fun, like the original CVCC. Just not offered to the US market because of the shorter range. Honda has some EV experience this decade.
“Coming to market soon” and “it’s built on a GM Ultium platform” are incongruent statements!
Perfect, I can't wait, Kyle. I'm an Acura fan boy who owned a 2008 Acura TL Type S since new gave it to my son. Currently own a 2016 Acura MDX Tech spec. Paid for makes it special. I also have a 2023 Rivian R1T, so you know where I'm going with this. Yes, sir, bring the performance Acura. Let GM keep their interior. They are really good vehicles.
Blazer EV RS AWD has 89kWh Useable which is what I think Honda Prologue is gonna be. Lyriq is 102kWh usable which is this Acura RDX. Battery being the jet differentiator and discharge capabilities
Great glimpse of the ZDX- thanks! Did you see anything other than the name that harkens back to the original ZDX? That was such a vehicle before its time. While the design was controversial, you could not deny that the V-6 and PAWS handling system was amazing. Even the aluminum center console was so cool and again, ahead of its time as it was designed to go completely dark making when you shut the car off, making everything look clean and asleep essentially. You started the car and the center console lit up with all white lighting, rising from the bottom of the console and traveling up. The car came alive with that and a nice rumble. Anyway, just wish if they used the ZDX name, they would have done more to connect it to the original vehicle. I don't see any styling cues inside or out, not even the cool looped pile carpets which had a really upscale feel.
Pretty sweet Suv, nice colour and everything.
I saw an announcement from Honda that they will use the NACS connector and they mentioned Acura will as well.
I think it’s drop dead gorgeous!! But will it come to England? Will it cost more than £250 a month? Will it be parkable in small towns like Broxbourne or Hoddesdon? The only problem is that it would never make a camper!!
Lyriq looks wayyyy better especially interior and exterior sport is gonna be super sexyy
Lyriq is ‘only’ 5600 lbs in RWD and 5800+ lbs in AWD. Bound to make HP seem low for =6000, so it’s a good thing they’re coming with higher output.
Appreciate Kyle’s coverage. From his description, I’m having a strong feeling that the Acura ZDX was designed based on “desperation” rather than sound ground up engineering. I can only say “hmmm…..”
The same desperation as the Toyota BZ4x, for the same reason (lost a bet on hydrogen) -- but with GM underpinnings, this is probably a better product.
@@concinnus ironic right? I’d very much look forward to tear down of this car and see how the internal systems design look like.
I have been an Acura RDX customer since 2019. I received my invitation about this car on Thursday and thinking about it. The color is unique and the interior does remind me of my RDX. Would have preferred a PHEV instead of BEV.
I would rather have an electric RDX. This looks boring in comparison.
I also can’t wait for the unveiling of the Honda Prologue, which I think will also use GM’s Ultium platform.
I like the blue color and overall style, but what’s with the two-tone trim? The trim would look much better if it were all black.
7:52 It's not clear whether some of the OTA updates have already improved the LYRIQ's charging profile, but actual owners aren't reporting the same issues that Tom encountered. Even when plugging in a ~10%, I've seen reports from actual LYRIQ owners describing very similar charging profiles to what you saw when plugging in at 30%. GM does appear to use different charging profiles for different vehicle states (e.g., the charge profile when the car is powered on is different than when it is powered off), which could account for some of the differences. However, until I get an up-to-date version of the LYRIQ from GM for thorough testing, I can't really speak to what all those nuances might be.
That chrome design line is straight out of a hearse. Cannot unsee it. Love the car besides that one detail
Given that GM has stated they're switching to NACS/J3400 for the 2025 MY, I wonder if this vehicle will do the same. Seems like a bad idea for Honda/Acura to release 1 or 2 model years of vehicles with a different charge port.
It's a nice borrowed design. Then Acura always borrowed plenty from the Honda parts bin.
I just want a bespoke Honda/Acura EV platform. I’d dig an s2000 or civic type r ev
If jerky charge port is the only thing against Lyriq GM did a fantastic job
I like this. Now if they priced the regular awd model with the MYLR then I bet they could sell a bunch. But being the base rwd is over 60k. I don’t see it doing well. I could see it selling like the Subaru.
This is a more upmarket car than the model y. Honda prologue or Chevy blazer would be a better comparison
@@TeddyBearGaming999 in reality Acura isn’t upmarket and hasn’t been in a long time. They price upmarket but in normal times the discount is massive. You can get an integra for the same price as a civic si at some dealers right now. Acura is for the most part a forgotten brand.
Looks like the Chevy Equinox EV. Like exact body with the exception of the front grill
Looks like it has normal door handles.
Yep for a normal basic looking car that’s $60k+. I love how special the Cadillac is it being a luxury car and all, and the fact they took their time to make it feel and look expensive compared to the Blazer which is even nicer than this Acura.
It is badge engineering. I really wish GM and others would stop putting charging ports behind the front wheel. It needs to be either in front or on a back corner if not where traditional fuel doors are.
The real question is, how many units if GM contracted for is it allocated batteries before any other GM vehicle?
Yes, I agree. It seems like the worse location possible. Even using the NACs stations will sometimes be problematic. I am not sure what GM or Ford, for that matter, was thinking.
Especially cause the Hummer EV already has the charge port in the "correct" left rear fender.
Disagree. Placing in the rear means backing into the charger. Gas engine folks need to stop trying to apply gas engine standards to EVs.
Electric port.. why not under the license plate like older ICE cars had in the day? Takes away some side lines.
At least for the US market from a practicality standpoint more manufactures should consider putting the charge port on the front passenger side like the Nissan Ariya, as it works well with existing Tesla superchargers (see Miss GoElectric’s short on the MagicDock) as well as makes curbside charging and charging when towing easier... though front could work also.
It is a beautiful SUV. Yes, Acura dealers are ready to step up and tack on another $10k-$20k over MSRP. The charging door is in a bad location, what's wrong with the same place the fuel door always has been? Yes, I would hope the charging performance and range are better than other Ultium based vehicles.
Some of the comments below puzzle me, “ I like this much better than the Lyric”. It is a Lyric!
Lyriq is more appealing by a lot to me. The his guys seems biased against the Lyriq but to each his own
For whatever dumb reason, Kyle, has a hard-on against Lyriq. While in the mean time he gives a pass on the overpriced Rivian SUV(90,00 dollars), with it's limited leg and passenger room(See his wife could not have enough leg room in front seat with second row child seat strapped in) or the so-called over 500 mile range Lucid Air, overpriced at 160,000 dollars, could barely make 372 mile trip(Pasadena to Phoenix), with setting cruise control to 70 miles/hr limit, he has no criticism. At the end of the day, the Cadillac lyriq fully spec, has a low price of 70,000 plus dollars, can compete with any of the high end EV's, and that includes Tesla, BMW, Mercedes EQS, etc. Particularly when you consider the very competitive low price. Further lunacy, this Acura ZDX, without it even being released for review is "So Much" better than the Cadillac Lyriq. SMH.
You're hilarious
@@gerradwalker346 Kyle is also when it comes to Lyriq reviews
Seriously! If he thinks this old Subaru Legacy hearse looks better than a Lyriq, he definitely needs a new prescription!
@@gerradwalker346people like you are apart of the issue, you’re an enabler and the reason he gets rewarded to put out bogus crap like this to viewers. Smh 🤦🏽♂️
Ideal for Shelbyville, Indiana, but I doubt that it would work well in England, although it’s electric!!
Does it have the same issues you reported with the Lyriq
Looks like a older infiniti fx45 great looking vehicle hopefully gm doesnt screw everything up seem like they are still having production issues
Yknow, you are right. From the side, I do see the Infiniti FX. Loved that car.
@WordsMatter1982 me too such good looking suvs even today they look good really wanna find a nice orange one in great shape just to have
Lyric is 1000% times more stylish than the Acura. I don't know what you are seeing !! That Acura looks like a million other cars on the road.
EXACTLY. So tired of this guy’s crap and his personal agenda against anything *gm.* It’s really sad.
@@G-Rated I've noticed that about him as well.
This isn't such a surprise considering Honda announced the Prologue first and this is the sister company’s first EV ON THE SAME PLATFORM.
With that downward to the rear swoop of chrome-ish trim on the side windows of the rear cargo area Acura should call it "the Hearse". Lol
GM is not really well known for reliability as Honda. I'm having mixed feelings about how this car will turn out.
There’s people that have the Bolt EV with 259k miles and counting. If that makes any better
JUST BECAUSE it’s an Ultium based EV doesn’t mean it’s the same car! Yes this looks the same as the Lyriq with a 100 Kwh battery but the Honda is based on the Chevrolet Blazer and from the Blazer sticker that battery is only 80 or 85 kwh so they are not the same.
Gm manoride is one of the best suspension in the world I hope Acura just renamed it and adds a gas range extender options.
Real door handles -- Score one for Acura! The tri-color look (black top on blue midsection on chrome rocker) on this model is distracting. I saw someone compare it to a hearse, and now I can't unsee the similarity... It looks large, primarily in the length. You said it was between the MDX and RDX, but it looks longer than the MDX, but that's probably due to the low roof height. It adds to the hearse comparisons, though.
I guess it's too much to ask for an EV of the RDX, but I see that as the high-volume segment right now. Ford says that 3-rows are the growth segment and that 2-rows are not, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but the proof will be in the test drive and how it presents itself in person.
Back end reminds me of a herse
Quick and thorough first tour. Answers many initial questions.
Just saw an announcement that Honda/Acura will be adopting the NACS.
6:48 Just to be clear here, the Tesla Supercharger experience hasn't really translated to other EVs so far. We can hope that moving forward from 2024 the experience will be more similar for non-Tesla EV owners, but based on what we're seeing right now, the only thing that makes the Superchargers look necessary is Electrify America's shortcomings. By the time Tesla releases a CCS1 adapter and starts to unlock their Supercharger sites, EA will have been joined by national corridors from both ChargePoint and EVgo, so to be a real selling point, the Superchargers don't just need to be a better experience for non-Tesla EV owners than EA.
And of course, the elephant in the room is the Charging Alliance that Acura/Honda will have a lot of control and influence over. In four years, I expect the Superchargers to be an option for non-Tesla EV owners in North America, but I would not expect them to so compelling or necessary that customers are going to scramble for native SAE J3400 plug access.
There are superchargers located in areas where there aren't any CCS chargers. For example there is a supercharger in Big Sur (rustic as it is) but the closest CCS chargers are in Monterey (where this review took place). Personally I haven't experienced the opposite situation. Will be wonderful when all BEVs can use either network. I think this will be sooner than you're suggesting. It's really just pin placement. Teslas can use CCS chargers and J1772 chargers today, and BEVs with J1772 connectors can use Tesla destination chargers today.
@@doncooper2344 Sure, the Superchargers still have better coverage overall, but the areas where that's actually relevant are dwindling. Even seven years ago with a 60 kWh battery, the Chevrolet Bolt EV was able to drive from Monterey to Santa Barbara on a single battery charge. No one was even looking for the option to charge in Big Sur.
@@newscoulomb3705 A Mini EV owner may want to drive from Monterey to Santa Barbara.
@@webcomment8895 Sure, if Highway 1 is even open, but that's only 100 miles of relatively slow driving, and it's bookended with public fast charging sites. I do agree that San Simeon and Big Sur should also have a small number of public fast chargers; however, they are hardly crucial.
If you're looking for a better example, we have Highway 395 in Northern California with a ~350-mile gap between public fast chargers. Tesla finally added a couple Superchargers along that route in late 2021, I believe, but we're still waiting on public providers to add some sites (I've been after them about it since 2017 or 2018).
I love the styling of this, except for that chrome strip on the side and the rear "notch" downward between the rearmost side windows and the hatch. I don't know why Acura couldn't just keep it clean back there with big rear windows. I am still getting wagon vibes from this as it sits low and wide. (Disclaimer-- I love a good station wagon). The real test will be how it drives. I really want the extra range..315mi 'ish for the awd Type A vs 288 for the type X. If tuned properly, 340hp should be plenty (or perhaps 400 with two motors). Its really the tuning of the Lyriq which brings it down or as you said "makes 340hp feel like 240hp". We shall see. I cancelled my Blazer EV reservation and looking at this instead. The interior looks better, the styling is much better and to me its a better deal at this price point. (The Blazer now costs nearly as much and feels less premium with a paltry 279mi awd range)
Also, consider the Lyriq and/or ZDX is built in the U.S. and the Blazer is built in Mexico.
I like chrome trim, but that design looks like a hearse.
I like it. Remember black and chrome / premium luxury
Definitely does not smoke the lyriq at all 😂 the interior of this looks so basic and cheap. But good first look vid 👌🏽
As the journalists asked NASA reps in 'Homer goes to space' 'is this a joke?"
It looks to be a very nice SUB except one thing. He mentioned that it comes with air suspension and I don't like it. If you have a problem with air suspension, it's going to be a very expensive repair.
The top rear makes me think of a hearse
I greatly appreciate your shows and am a huge Ev guy with a polestar and lightning ER. I don’t share your opinion on the cadi look, I think in keeping with the demographic cadi buyer the lyric is an attractive vehicle.
I think you meant to say you CAN go wrong by choosing ANY of the gm variants
Unlike GM's newer EVs, the ZDX will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto! That's a key differentiator and a big deal for a lot of people.
Side profile at the C/D pillar looks kinda like a hearse...
No fog lamps on the Type-S?
The black roof accentuates the hearse-like styling.
And looks dumb too!!
Now do a Ridgeline version of this Honda/Acura
It’s a Chevrolet Blazer EV.
Yes it will be built in Spring Hill Tennessee
in a waay old ICE Saturn factory. Will GM kill Acura like they killed Saturn?😮
Kyle gives a review of how this vehicle will perform without even driving the vehicle. I don’t agree with Kyle, I feel the Lyriq is much better looking and his comments about cup holders and charging port door are petty. There are several other EV reviewers that I think do a better and less biased job than Kyle.
Can you do a video on 2023 Jaguar I Pace?
The silver strip on the side combined with the black top make it look like a hurst heading to a funeral.
I will be buy this if they get rid off that exterior silver trim and the put the interior of a rdx
Dash is 2018 Accord and the roofline in the back is Odyssey minivan. Pass for me.
Kinda looks like a hearse with that piece of trim.
the charge port door is definitely better on this than the Lyriq, but I have to disagree about the interior, the Lyriq is much better interior wise.
He didn’t even test the 500 hp AWD lyriq. It’s super fast. No issues with Charging curve and it’s pure joy to drive such luxury. He is clearly biased.
Certainly nice looking
Tou can get amazing watches under $100. I found 2 for under $55, both casio. Casio Duro 200m diver and Casio Iluminator 😅
I think the best looking of the 3 is the Blazer (even though they stole Volvo's DRL design lol), shame about its price though.
I'd prefer something cushy so I'd go Lyriq as they're all very close in price.
Acura will have the superior driving dynamics tho
I know you’re not big into PHEV’s,but I was looking at a two car garage someone had of a Prius Prime and a 40 kWh LEAF. That gives you a gas car that can go 500 miles, while still using mostly electricity around the city, then a 40kWh car that is on metro area driving duty. Even if that was a leaf plus, still just 62kwh. So their household had a total of 54 kWh of batteries for two vehicles, and would require no rapid charging infrastructure. That’s not enough to make one of these vehicles. I sort of feel that may be the actual “green” garage of the future, and not 100 kWh battery pack vehicles. Just my .02 as a current BEV owner.
Is anyone else seeing a big blue hearse . . . ? I mean, the black rear panel with the silver swoosh? Anyone? I mean, I wouldn't get one in all black.
