Thanks!
I really like your template idea for bending the wire.
Thanks! It's great if you need to make a lot of identical lures.
Where can I download the wire template
I make a 8" mullet lure very similar. Not sure if you have thought about it but on lures that size I use a bearing guided roundover bit on a router table. You are an outstanding craftsman. You really set the bar high.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
I actually have tried the roundover bit. I think that is an excellent choice, especially if you are making a bunch of lures. I personally think the router is one of the scariest tools I have!
ha ha ha you finally found it again ... lucky you brother😎
Sometimes I feel like I am the king of loosing lures. Lucky this one was a floating bait!
That's some good looking free hand detail above the lateral line.
Thanks for watching!
Great job, congratulations.
Thank you!
Awesome video thx!!
I appreciate it!
Did myself a favor and bought myself a 9” bandsaw this last week for my Birthday- man what a difference it makes in getting consistent lures! Now it seems weird spending 1/10th of the time cutting out lures, and getting better results. Love watching your approach to making these lures! Your videos have helped me a lot. BTW- have you found any place to get spare parts for your master airbrush? I broke the fluid nozzle on mine, awhile back and its DOA now.
Hey Tor! Glad to hear about your new bandsaw. I haven't tried looking for airbrush parts. I dropped mine on the nozzle once, but it landed at just the right angle where it missed the needle. Good luck to you in your lure making journey and thanks for watching!
Très beau travail ! Very good job !
Thank you so much!
Bravissimo👏
Thank you!
Exelente 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Where did you find that little crucible?
It's actually a little powder pan that came with a scale I bought a long time ago.
This was very informative to me. Thanks......Have you tried using UV cure resin in place of epoxy for top coats? It cures in minutes.....
I haven't tried UV resin. I like the idea of faster curing, but I would need to build a UV chamber first. Might be a cool future project. Thanks for your support!
@@zimmtex I closed in my lure turner with side walls and just lay a “ladies nail curing light” on top and let it all run....
@@AAE-cg1il That's cool, I like that.
What kind of sealer do you put on your lower before painting over foil. Ralph
I have used InstaCure glue or polyurethane to seal the wood. Thanks for watching!
Nice work. How did you lose that thing? Snag? I saw u retrieved it, lucky u were in a lake cause in saltwater that never happens😀 enjoy your builds keep them coming. Build a darter, nobody has done a youtube video of that that i am aware of.
Yup I snagged it; I'm really good at loosing lures. Great idea, I'll add darter to my list. Thanks for watching!
What model of band saw do you use? garcias wuey
I have a list of most of the products I use on my website here:

Hello. Nice tutorials. I have watch all your films many times.
Im New to building lures. And have difficult to find supply here in Sweden.
I have checked all the supply u use. And the Most of them have " Currently unavailable "
Im searching silicone rubber for molds. White and clear resin.
And holographics vinyl.
And the insta cure super glue.
Hope you can help me . /niklas
First, thank you for watching and for your support! Sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding supplies. I too have been running into some of that and have been looking at different brands. For insta cure, you could use super glue or another brand that is cyanoacrylate. Hopefully stuff will get back in stock soon.
What type of wood dp you use
These are made out of poplar.
my brother, very nice hand. Where did you get the file at 30.50? can you give an address?
Not sure about what you mean by file. At 30:50 I am using a mesh I got from the fabric store. Most of the things I use are linked on my website which you can get to from the video description. Thanks for watching!
Do you use a primer or does the CA glue take care of that?
Oh no! You lost that nice lure. Crap.
You found it! Yea!!!
The CA glue soaks into the wood surface and plasticizes it. Technically that's all you need, but sometimes I use a high build sandable automotive primer over that to get an ultra smooth surface.
Thats me, loosing lures wherever I go!
Bro what is the weight of this lure
This one is 2 1/4 ounces with hooks.
Where do you buy your template material?
I'm not sure I know what you mean but I have a list of most of the materials and tools that I use on my website. Thanks for watching!
The clear material used to trace side and top profile… I don’t see it listed on your website
II would hit that if I was a fish, Beautiful job!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Do you not use any leader? Aren't there both pike and musky in your waters?
Over here almost everyone use a leader, even the perch hunters, most of them. Just because they don't want to loose their 15$ plastic bait.
Yours bait is a Picasso, I would hang myself if I had lost it. I'm in Sweden btw. Love you very explanatory videos, great info for me as I'm venturing into building baits. I'll probably go the resin route, pouring them baits. Have some such experience so feels more correct than carving every bait.
Looking comment!! Anyway love your vids keep on going, with a fluorocarbon leader!!

I don't have pike or musky here, so no risk of loosing one because of teeth. I agree and would reccomend it for those fish for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting!
