5 years ago i was about 17 and i started a conversation with my siblings. i wanted us to jointly own a rental property by the time the eldest of us was 30. they felt it was too ambitious so i proposed we start something like cribstock so its cheaper for young people like us to participate in real estate. They didn't understand what i was saying, i felt discouraged and the idea died. My point it never wait for someone's validation to try something. That mistake has cost me alot in life. I would have gotten much further in life if i just did my own thing instead of looking at what others are doing.

I see myself blaming my siblings too. I feel they just want me to give them money and are not prepared to work together with me to make it. Now, I think it's unhealthy to blame others. Try to fo your own way and be single minded about success.

Ezinne, I definitely agree with everything you said. Honestly, a few years ago, I just didn’t understand why people bought stocks and etc. I saw it as a way of gambling and also the way people spoke about it during that time was just in a sense of just wanting to be super rich. For me, I just want to be able to have and be able to be a blessing to others and to do what God has called me to do. At that time I didn’t get it until a few months back, my dad was just sharing that if there’s something he wish he had known it would be investing in stocks and he even encouraged me to learn about investment and actually start the journey. I have begun and I’m still learning and like you mentioned, keeping your money in the bank doesn’t profit in any way. Reading is a great investment in itself. Thank you for sharing your experience!
