My husband let me listen to this song. I don't know why after awhile I started to cry. It touches. It's so deep feeling..
The imagery, the cadence, every word was breathed with soul. What a live performance ! The artist once dropped her mic and rapped with a megaphone to thousands of people at a concert. Her performing ability is impeccable.
This is why Suboi is the Queen of Vietnamese HipHop, the way hiphop, instead of american systematic oppression, we get to see the inner-self struggle painted on the themed canvas of family, culture, and identity. Not to mention the jazzy, non-drum but percussive piano and the rolls also, this is the sound that Vietnamese Hip-Hop should show the world.
