For real, hes crossed my mind a few times in the past week
I cannot fathom how the developers made TWO MOVIES and went with "Rock Dog" instead of the INFINITELY BETTER and ACTUAL REAL TERM, "Rock Hound".
Touche! (In fact, I probably would have been more encouraged to see these movies had they not gone with such a bland title like “Rock Dog”, but I have heard some people like Rock Dog, most people not like the sequel and the same people be intrigued in Rock Dog 3).

I'm not sure if I like this or not. On the one hand, decent pun. On the other hand, it includes THIS MOVIE's title.
I'm surprised that wasn't the actual Title. The real title makes it sound like it's set during Christmas.

I feel like Rob should have been there. This sounds like it would have ruined his day.

One good thing about 'Oh Heavenly Dog' was that it had Lorenzo Music, the original Garfield.

Wait they made a twisted metal 4 reference? "Mess with the best, die like the rest" was one of the phrases you could put on a custom character!
The first Rock Dog had a crackhouse vibe to it, meaning it was one of those terrible animated films played in a crackhouse to keep the kids there entertained. This seems no different.
Rock Dog was a surprisingly pleasant movie for what it was. Not the greatest animated film ever, but actually palatable with a (yeah, albeit already done and generic) cute, wholesome message. Eddie Izzard definitely made it better than it would have been without him, haha. Moving on, I honestly don't see why this had to be made. I didn't even realize the original one was popular and profitable enough to make its own knock-off sequel (as much as I kiiiiiinda like the first one, I must admit).

I just rewatched the first one and have been looking all over to see if I can find another person who sees how bad the quality went from the first one to the second one cause I remembered watching the first one when I was younger and I loved it then and I can say now it's not horrible but for a lionsgate movie pretty good I'm just sad they had to go and make several more that were on a smaller budget and don't have any of the original cast
So, this is a film that if it isn't just on DVD in the UK it will be a "sky cinema original"
At least they didn't call it "Rock Around the Bark".

Whoever owns the Highschool Musical franchise should just take voice clips of the actors and songs and mash them up into a semi coherent 'new' plot and spend 50 bucks to have a Korean animation studio slap the visuals together.

Sheesh! I can tell the Rock and Roll Space Bandits episode of Superfriends (a 7 minute episode, much less) had more substance and three times the fun as this movie!
I totally forgot about the first one and I didn't know this was happening. 😲

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the plot for this movie had good potential but bad execution. Think about it: Linnux was deeply humiliated after the events of the first movie, so what would be a logical next step for him in his plot for revenge? Capitalize on Bodi's newfound fame by subtly encouraging the fame to go to his head while secretly stealing the very same power that led to his (Linnux's) defeat the first time to ensure that the playing field is leveled. It's not a bad idea when you think about it.
Now, imagine the Lang character came across as a lot more friendly and well-meaning who didn't reveal himself to be Linnux so early on in the movie, and then Linnux actually maintained a consistent character arc by wanting to go after the sheep with his new power. I think the idea could have worked if done right, but it ended up being ruined by Linnux's out-of-nowhere rockstar wanna-be passions that really don't make sense compared to the first film, all made worse by the constant puns and sub-par animation.
Just a thought.
I feel like I would have enjoyed this a lot more then I should.
Rock is beyond dead, so why this dog is rocking around the park in the year of our lord 2021 is beyond me.

As soon as I saw the animation in the trailer, I IMMEDIATELY saw the downgrade in quality. Every. Single. Model. Looked shiny, wet and their movements were so jagged. As if trying to portray smoothness from an alien's perspective. I also noticed that the voice actors they got for RECURRING characters didn't sound ANYTHING close to the original ones. Why they couldn't at least get voice actors to closely mimic the original voices, I do not know. Bodi will forever sound like Luke Wilson to me, haha.
Its funny because i knew about the Norm of the North sequels and am just learning this has 2 sequels. That amazes me because Norm is the worse and this is arguably better.
Glee did a lot of covers, confusing many tweens into thinking Journey was new. Ha. Phil Collins is from the 70s and 80s.
Most songs in that series were covers, and they were pretty naked about it sometimes.

Turns out this sequel was made in America by a completely different studio with different writers,director and actors and went straight to DVD. This is by definition a cash grab. Why cash crab a movie that flopped is beyond me.
In terms of Renner-related movies, I doubt the first movie would upset me as much as Endgame, because it’s at least just dumb and silly instead of overly dark and sad.

This movie sounds terrible. Wow, we're not worthy? Yo, you help cats are gonna rock to this Zep set, in my Hammer pants. Fleetwood Yak was the only clever pun name in the movie. This is only because I get the joke being over 50. (Kids, just so ya know, it's a play on Fleetwood Mac and the Doobie Brothers from the 70s).

The original Rock Dog was animated by Reel FX and that looked way better compared to... Whatever Rock Dog 2 is.
