I remember when the ender dradon was block I go back to 1.18.2 just to see it
@@rosegomez7824 same
ok thx i join
Finally someone knows that bedrock is a darker version of stone…
so is deeplsate
I know
so is endstone the Anticobble
Thought this was one of those facts that beginner minecraft youtubers repeat over and over again to the point where almost everyone knows about it
Minecraft Deepslate Edition
I never knew they removed the feature where you died when falling into shallow water. You’re telling me that all these years I could have been landing in 1 block deep pools from the height limit, and nobody told me?
Yeah, it’s called a water clutch. At least you know now though
1 block is an overstatement, people have tested and proved that you can survive even with a pixel of a water stream
@@gil_11 Really more of an understatement.
@@GeorgeDCowley english is hard, man
@@gil_11 Can be.
items floating in water is kinda new ya know.
i remember when it sank
it even said in one of the old updates that we were exsited for that items floated
they float now?????
@@Internetflaming yep, since the aquatic update
I still dive underwater if I lose items out of instinct
well, it still dues, at least boats
WAIT WHAT? I THOUGHT THEY STILL SANK
You pointing out the fact that items used to sink in water gave me a rapid fire of flashbacks to the amount of times I died in thr ocean and spent hours trying to get my stuff back.
Of course every single time that happened I'd cheat and just go into creative mode rather than just suffering.
....in present day I probably would have chosen suffering, due to my more completionist attitude and older mind today-
Nice
me irl
Infinite I do it to
i vaguely remember that cause i started playing minecraft in 1.12
Dude, I played when that happened before creative mode. There was no alternative, so I feel your pain 🥲
7:15 This one still exists, however they moved the disappearing height way higher, I think it was at 500 something back before they extended the height limit.
My blocks were disappearing like last week at hight limit. But I could build above it.
I’m on 1.19.20 and it’s not there anymore
Also before Shields, you could block with a sword.
But you would still take damage when you block with sword.
I know that i played minecraft since 2015
@@mememan3918oh, the world revolves around you. My bad, king.
That was only about 4 years ago, not that long ago.
@@mememan3918 that's it? Weak baby
remember when it only takes 1 bone meal to grow a crop/sapling
God you are a veteran
Ah, the good old days
Yea
Yeah good old times
YEAH
actually the pigman bodyguard is an entirely seperate mob,it was dinnerbone's weird idea that he posted in 2020,tho he had to hold it off due to other things
I remember this🤣 I also remember when Jeb decided to add emeralds in minecraft instead of ruby's cuz it was easily mistaken for readstone, but he foregot to change the texture, so we had ruby's in the game for a day
It's so strange to think that Minecraft was released nearly a decade ago, and only now is it getting the updates that only mods could do back then.
3:56 WAIT I REMEMBER WHEN THEY ADDED MUTTON
You gave me the nostalgia of my life.
But one thing you missed is: HELL MODE and Litterally Minecraft was called cave game. Oh and there was only cobblestone and grass. Also when you go to creative you start with planks, grass and like basic stuff.
yea i remember all those things
Yeah I played pocket and had 218 worlds all started with the planks bricks torches and other stuff... sadly I dropped the tablet that had those worlds... all of them gone
And now the first thing we players start with is the netherite armor and kids start with TNT
you arent an og man you just knew these on yt or webs minecraft didnt even exist when HELL MODE was there it didnt even release its verison now they leaked the verisons when they released it
9:27 this is basically just Terraria when trying to break planks
0:05 yessir I remember this chaos
0:49 i thought he successfully managed to enchant bread
Lol
And a true Minecraft og would know that there’s no new ender dragon texture
5:07 a sky dimension is the end
5:38 my comrade
fun fact:1.the creeper texture is basicly a leaf block but brighter
2. the wooden slab that was immune to fire still available in the game by just looking at the creative menu and see 2 wooden slabs:the normal one and the petrified oak slabs, and if you played on an old version that has only ONE slab type, you can still have the petrified slab in survival
am i a real veteran?
Yea
Only in newer versions
Yes you are friend
fact one is something everyone knows, they just took the default blank white texture and slapped leaves on it
I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the creepers
Yes I remember as a Minecraft veteran when water was created and just one water bucket can flood anything like lava
Lava did that too?
@@GeorgeDCowley the olden days~~
I love that most of these facts aren't common facts that everyone know. Actually learned something new
I knew you were able to craft gapples back then, they called crazy after an attempt to craft one
Same
1:43 I would have Been 1 year old and I’ve played for not that long
5:21 i play in bedrock , thats not possibile to Have soul Fire as a block, if you can take It as a block It Is s because of a glitch
2:20 I actually died to this bug in my 6 months hardcore world and the version was 1.15 ~
Jeb_ and Notch unironically being monster Quake players.
absolutely dominated that game
1:37 in beta it looks like the glass we have today except with more lines
im a vet and even i forgot about some of this stuff holy, the nostalgia is unreal
Who remembers the old grass texture? Ahh good old days
bruh the textures are the same, just brighter
@@_notabee EXACTLY
Hi! I would like to say i love your channel. You get straight to the point and i love the things you include! I would just like to say keep up the good work. It must be difficult to make videos as good as these!
yeah sepecialy with cropping others footage for his own personal use without credit!
4:28 i want a resourcepack with that please
8:20 yes this was a pain!
Back when I played Minecraft on the XBOX three-sixty, I used to take fall damage on shallow water.
@@therealloganyt237 Damn, I knew I should've studied math.
@@giovonnirivera5458 what?
@@giovonnirivera5458 oh XD
@@therealloganyt237My math calculation is just a stupid as jumping in old shallow Minecraft water. **Turns red and falls to the floor under-water**
**And also turns into smoke**
I swear I remember the dying torches being an actual thing at some point. The first time I ever got to play Minecraft was back soon after it released on Xbox 360 and I swear I remember the crafting recipe for torches had the description saying it would burn out after 10 minutes. I also vaguely remember specifically the torch recipe with charcoal only having the description, but I could be wrong on that.
2 days ago, I was playing Minecraft and I was in a cave, I placed a torch next to me and some seconds later it "died" and just disappeared- Next thing I did was delete the world for good, I was so damn scared I thought some of these (obviously fake) creepypastas would actually happen.
*Notes : I was on peaceful, there was no water nearby.
I also have another two. A few years back, if you wanted flowers, you could only obtain them using shears, and say you had diamond in your inventory on one world and switched to another, the diamonds would transfer with your inventory (atleast in bedrock edition)
Remember the bow's sound effect used to sound like a crossbow or something heavily loud
and then there is a block that can summon a chunk of nether in the overworld aka also known as the nether reactor
That was in like the telephone or tablet version I remember that yeah was cool
me when join minecraft 2:34
This might be the best video i have ever seen about (fact you might not know) about minecraft. I have never been teached so much fun facts i didnt already know from a video. Very impressive.
0:40 i heard that on minecraft pocket edition!
Yes I played Minecraft for half of my life time..
Yes I watch these kind of videos all the time while I knowing everything
But It felt so good to be called "Veteran"
I miss when we ONLY used red beds
honestly, minecraft trivia is usually so ingrained in me that whenever the video had something i didn't know i thought it was a joke entry, some really obscure stuff!
I feel a bit proud to have known these facts and experience them. It also makes me feel old.
Such a simple game, not like others that update their game 24/7. Been playing the game since December of 2011, started playing on my neighbor's Kindle, then got my own tablet, then on pc, now I enjoy console, and never got bored of it. Still play on pc a lot too!
i've been playing since 1.11 and i remember that this was only added in the 1.13 ocean update
it was super hard when u died in the ocean to get your items back
8:09
I've been playing Minecraft since before stained glass came into the game but I actually didn't know a lot of this. Good vid.
8:45 that is not milk
😏
i know all of these and this so nostalgia
Mojang used to update every week because the game was new .Production takes time now the updates are bigger and better so they are not lazy you just don't think.
4:17 "today, they can only pick up deez"
deez nuts
I remember most of these, honestly I think the older versions were really fun.
Did you know that Spectator Mode was Added to Minecraft Bedrock Edition? Here's the Command: /GameMode 6
Thanks
i've been trying to do that for 2 years
It is recently added in the current bedrock 1.19 beta
They said it's not a real 1.19 feature but in the future it's going to be part of an update
still on Beta ;-;
I didn't think I would actually learn something, THX for the lesson!
For a sec, with the thumbnail, I thought they broke something that wasn't broken. Sure, the thumbnail horns would be an improvement visually imo, but what many don't seem to know, especially modern young adults, teens, and kids from my experience, is that forward facing eyes is something predators have (humans, felines, wolves, eagles, bears, etc.) and PREY have the eyes on the side of the head (horse in minecraft, and sheep and pigs should, but I guess that's what the derpy eyes are supposed to represent). So having them to the side on ender dragon, as well as a smaller head (though being more angular and pointed would be sort of a nice touch), would be a downgrade imo.
Super unpopular opinion, I know, but I just wanted to give reasons why I wouldn't like a redesign of Jean. IDk why we never see more ender dragons, just have them the og enderdragon size, make current bigger, and make a smaller friendly red version with blue eyes and lightning/soulflame breath and then you would have happy players
I knew most those facts, I never played Minecraft in my life. Except education edition, it doesn’t count really. Did I mention I learned about the existence of Minecraft in November 2019?
**me laughing in 2016**
I learned about the existence of minecraft in sometime 2017
How young we're you guys? I knew it since 2010 and i'm only 20 Years old.
I miss old Minecraft until I remember how OP skeletons were
3:20 *the recipe is actually in the game still*
"Mojang is simply lazy"
- No, theyre just trying to make good updates instead of rushing them.
Remember, minecraft used to be famous for how badly it was coded
notch pumped out good updates every other week
@@Dadusak these were awfully coded and glitched, Mojang's updates are infinetely bigger and well coded than Notch's were.
lol yea the new updates are way bigger too. Adding a single item or so each week is easy
MOJANG ISN'T LAZY!!!!!!
It is very clear they are working very hard on each update, and they can't do something so big as adding chickens into the game because THEY'RE ALREADY IN THE GAME!
Those were the good old days especially fire and tnt and the enchanting was so annoying
Thanks for bringing back my old memories of this wonderful game I’ve been playing since cows were added and seeing some of the things that used to be in here just made me smile
ur a truly og, I don't know most of the stuffs you told, no other channels made these
Wow I didn't knew most of the facts and didn't heard from and youtubers also however I knew a few facts
I think you should make short videos like camman18 as nowadays people are more intrested in them
I was thinking about that just yesterday!
New 12 out of the 34 facts, Nice
ive been around since the halo texture pack and i LOVE getting memory's of the past!
In 14 but 1 of the first games we got was minecraft on the xbox 360, there was so many memories, we had first played minecraft with our friends in Las Vegas, we would either play halo 3 or minecraft when guest would come over, I remember seeing all the new updates but didn't know what they were, just that they were there. Minecraft is on my favorite and most nostalgic games
I've been playing Minecraft since I was 7 (I'm 18) but I haven't served in the military. To any of you Minecraft veterans, thank you for your service to our country! ❤
The most ultimate thing which you claimed that the further the harder, I actually know that dirt slab existed
Ah yes, i remember the gold block recipes for the notch apple. I dont have MC, but i watched some good ol' OG CZcamsrs
I've been playing since 2010 (12 years!) and still didn't know a lot of these, which is insane because usually I know everything in these videos or nearly everything
I played this game when it first came out crazy how much has changed
I remember 90% of this. I cant tell you how many tnt sat around my old base, hoping i didnt accidentally click it. Waiting for an update to be able to remove the tnt without exploding it
Ngl, i knew like 10 or 11 of them, a couple surprised me though. The bedrock fact is kinda hard not to know if you put bedrock next to stone. Good vid btw
The shallow water damage always sucked and has scarred me to this day
mojang oughta use the old Wolf Model for Coyotes!
Played since 2015 where I played on PS3 and I always still think the old mechanics still exist
The weekly updates still exists, they release them as snapshots.
When you realize a single chain mail armor in survival is harder to get than bedrock
Thank you for making me feel old.
I swear that back when I used to play my ps3 this version moody lighting at night would creep that crap out of me and the night was longer
wait walking on crops dont destroy them anymore?… and the pigs snouts are now protruding from their face? WHY AM I JUST LEARNING ABOUT THIS?
3:45
That stuck with me so much actually that a few days ago a girl hosted an mc server and i joined in to see what's up etc.
Then tried to craft bread... using 6 wheat... lol.
Pigmen before:I fight for the villagers
Iron golems:Allow us to introduce ourselves.
fun fact Creepers textures were make like what was the current leaf texture with a face
It’s funny u mentioned about the Enderman dropping diamonds because there was no end dimension not even a strong hold either. It was just nether and over world
1:03 AYO THIS USED TO BE IN LIFEBOAT SURVIVAL I dont know if it still is a glitch in lifeboat and I'm talking about bedrock
This is probably well known but remember when mobs would attack you in creative
Great vid bro
I remember the ghost items, that was a nightmare
bro i knew all this i wasnt a og but i watched old videos and this guy uses these facts in lots of videos
“God I feel old now” that makes me subscribe and like.
all the memories coming back of me playing minecraft on my dads old ipad in 2014 😭
Another cool fact is that slimes used to sink underwater like undead mobs do now and undead mobs used to be able to swim, slimes would also drown overtime because they needed air
I was surprised! I know a lot of these and I've only been playing Minecraft since 2016!!
Funny thing back in the day when I first started playing Minecraft I got attacked by a quadrillion mobs and died, but I spawned in the corner of the world in the middle of the sky (back in the day we didn’t have infinite worlds) the worst thing about this was that I kept trying to fall into the convenient ocean below me but the area was too shallow. I then had to kind of levitate midair in survival by walking on top of this invisible barrier I kept spawning on top of. Eventually I got down by jumping in a deep enough spot in the water. I didn’t respawn back in my base cus it was a little wooden hut rebuilt from my first dirt hut and the creeper had destroyed my bed. Did anyone else have this weird issue of spawning in the edge of your world back in the day??? Or am I a very lucky player😂
The nostalgia hits hard.
Omg the glass texture brings back memories
I remember using just fire to smelt food like a campfire
The extremely old things I don’t remember and same with old server issues, but 1.2.3 on wa where I played I also remember one of the alpha things from old videos
my god the amount of flashbacks I got during this..
