Along the journey the railway offers spectacular views up the estuary towards Snowdonia. Once back at Fairbourne I had a couple of hours before my train back, I took a walk up into the hills and discovered an abandoned quarry and an incredibly blue pool...

I worked for a Transport company and we brought this train and all the bits and pieces back from France where it was first installed. The owner decided to bring it to the uk after the French kept blowing up the line. There are photos of the operation in the Museum on the platform.

Nice video But asking the same as the first comment. Why film the side going back to Fairbourne. Thank you. Take care John Whitehouse

The decision to film the same side on the return leg was taken due to the fact that on one side the railway follows the road offering views into Snowdonia, on the other there is a large grass bank utilised as a sea defence measure that unfortunately blocks any views out to see. Thank you for watching

why film the same side of the line as you did going up, why didn't you film on the opposite side of the train so that we could have seen both sides

Normally I do swap sides for the return journey. However with the Fairbourne the opposite side is just a large grassy bank which doubles up as a flood defence. And I decided that it would be more interesting to stick to the same side on this occasion.
