PheasantHunting and a whitetail deer for my daughter!

Took the shorthairs on what was supposed to be 3 days of pheasant hunting, sometimes things don't always work out the way you plan. A week or so later I sat in a ground blind with my daughter as she was able to harvest her first whitetail buck with a bow, a memory I'll never forget!

Phenomenal Tim! Way to capture your daughters first buck on film! Congrats to all! She can relive that one forever! What a shot that was. Awesome job filming from the blind too. Big adjustment going from filming bird hunts to filming archery out of a blind. Turned out perfect!! Hope you feel better soon. Lots of flu going around....

Thanks!! Completely over the flu thank god! One thing I gotta get though is a better tri-pod, a much smoother one that won’t stick when I’m using it causing the video to bounce a little.

The only thing worse than being sick is being sick during hunting season!!
Good catch on that hen. Hopefully, she'll recover. If not, nature will take her.
What camera are you using for the deer hunt? Really great quality. Plus, that's a special moment you've got captured for eternity with your daughter. Truly, there is nothing better. I love hearing the excitement in your voices!! I'm happy for your both. Your words at the end are EXACTLY why we bring the camera along on our hunts. Memories that can never fade. Thank you Lucas! And yes I agree,I can handle being sick but not during hunting season! Its a Sony FDR AX 43 and I'm surprised at the video it takes, the only thing I will be looking into is a better tri pod. I only use this camera for certain situations and when its on the tri pod I'm not moving it around so its fine for that, but I'm gonna get a good quality tri pod with a fluid head so when I move it to follow something it doesn't jump at all.
