  • The valvetrain part of the engine can very easily be messed up with some mistake, and we go over how to do the valve springs, rocker arms, and trunions.
The trunions were done differently than normal, only because we didn't have the right tool on hand. Otherwise we would've used the press in a heartbeat.
Here at ZHP garage, we do it all. Tune in every Monday for a look into our custom builds, arrays of car shows we attend, and multitude of races we participate in. We've over 20 years of experience, and can work on anything from the daily commuter, to a custom fabricated roll cage, to a custom Chevy C10!
For behind the scenes action, more look into our builds, and things not shown in the fully released videos:

An arbor press from harbor freight would've made your life easier. I upgraded my rocker arms with BTR V2 trunnion assembly in less than an hour on all 16. First 2-3 are a learning curve, then it becomes muscle memory.

I stopped listening when you said Harbor Freight🤣 but good stuff man, definitely becomes muscle memory after the first few

@@ZHPGarage Any arbor press is better than the c-frame press you were using. The one from harbor freight is inexpensive. Go buy one for 1k if you have the money by all means. Thanks man!

The c-clips are to prevent the bearing from walking out all the way an ending up inside the cylinder head and oil pan.

I’m pretty sure we said that in the video, but yes true.

@@ZHPGarage Possibly. I just remember hearing "it doesn't do anything it's just insurance"...It's all good though.

I'm having trouble trying to get my Chevy 2 together. I have paid for help but can't get the help. I have been diagnosed with ra and oa and have been working on it as I can. Wondering if you guys can help me out with the rest of the building my Chevy 2. I've gotten the front end off and started putting the tci suspension on the front. I have to get the rear TCI three link installed. Not complaining but help would be appreciated 👍 you guys have a great channel and really enjoyed watching your Chevy 2 come together... awesome Chevy 2. Hard work on it , you make it look easy but finding my hands don't want to work most of the time makes it frustrating... you guys rock!!!! Thanks for your time.....I have new windows to go in and the TCI suspension and waiting on a blue paint 400 sbc crate engine.i have the rear disk brakes for the back. This is a shot in the dark but thought I would ask......
