I think they added a multiplier to the mythic skin progression on the event to encourage people who have saved heirloom shards to buy the event instead of waiting until it goes into the heirloom store. It's encouragement to those who want the tier 3 skin asap, it's discouragement to those who enjoy the grind 😎🍆🏳️🌈
