I'd counter the secret identity issue regarding parents, for example, with how many times we have honestly seen the disconnect between parents and the secrets their children keep. Even when the parents and kids are close those secrets can be vast. There are also studies done where small changes to posture and appearance, etc, resulted in ppl completely spacing on recognizing an individual they should know, due to how the human brain process information. For me, it's more about facial recognition technology. You can fool your parents, your best friend, and your spouse, but those algorithms that'd be employed to identify your vigilante ass... That's a different story. 😅
