  • Hello and welcome!
    My name is Paulius and I work as a Lithuanian and English tutor online. I have created this podcast for anyone who is interested in improving Lithuanian. While this show is mostly aimed at intermediate learners, you can still benefit from it even if you are a beginner, because I’m going to be speaking relatively slowly and I will try to avoid using difficult words.
    Even if you feel that the podcast is hard to follow at first, no worries, I promise with time, it’s going to get easier. Language comprehension takes time and the more input you get, the easier it becomes to interpret and recall the newly learnt information. For this reason, I suggest listening to this podcast every or every other day for at least 5 to 10 minutes a time, re-listening some of the same content every few weeks or months. Once you get used to the various sounds, rhythms, sentence patterns, and so on, you will naturally want to listen more.
    I suggest turning on the subtitles for a more comfortable listening experience. Install Language Reactor to translate the Lithuanian titles into your native language.
    Also, if you wish to receive the full transcript of this episode, please head to my Contribee. There you will find all the podcast's transcripts, longer format Lithuanian with Paulius recordings and more.

      Hi there! I'm glad that you are finding the channel useful! This week I will upload a video for A1-level Lithuanian speakers where I will teach them how to introduce themselves. I hope it will be useful for you too. :)

    Very hopeful! Also a follower of Krashen's studies, there are indeed not any podcasts for lower intermediate Learners of Lithuanian

      @@LithuanianwithPaulius I like Language Reactor! It's a useful tool, I've been using it while watching with double subs and rewinding on a phrase level, I'm sure it has a lot more to offer!

      About the content itself - my Lithuanian level is too low, I enjoyed the Instagram post - about Writing, with the English subs; I speak several Slavic language, I believe there are some people in this situation, that potentially Lithuanian would be accessible (since a lot of the Grammar is similar), but we need to gather vocabulary;
      You know - there's this Russian podcast - which I've started using a decade ago (and still am) by Tatiana Klimova : www.youtube.com/@RussianLanguagePodcast she's very good in giving Redundant information - explaining Russian in Russian, if anyone would also pick up this glove - that'd simply be amazing, and make the language accessible I believe, since most of my available listening time - is audio-only, on-the-go without visuals. Her balances - is often - 3 minutes or so - of native material, can be her interviewing someone, to then - another 15 minutes - explaining these 3-minutes. Anyhow, congratulations on the new podcast, I might start one my-self, I'm also collecting such quality podcasts, in the Target-language - only, or mostly. I'll link my github list. cheers! I'll also follow in Patreon

      @@kobikaicalev175 Thank you for the kind comment! I will check Tatiana's podcast as I also have been learning the languages on and off for the past 4 years. I had in mind to use this approach, as it also has been used in another podcast that I like. Most likely I will adapt this methodology on some videos to make the podcast more accessible to A0-A2 level learners. Cheers!

      Amazing! I would really like to see more Target-Language-only podcasts accessible for beginners, I want to start one myself in-order to experiment with it (started listening to your other podcast btw, cool stuff), I thought of opening a "League" of such teachers/podcasters who exchange tips and help one-another reproduce-success stories cross languages. I've met with Tatiana a few years a-go and discussed with her, but the idea was too abstract at the time, maybe we can start this soon! especially for less-commonly taught languages - I expect this could be a game changer - there are many potential learners - but that would only learn - on-the-go at the initial stage, including many 2nd-gen heritage speakers
