Wish I could see Ed's horn closer. Looks like extra keys in low end.

Inspirational Artist. Every clarinet player should heed his advice about practicing. It's easy to fall into bad habits. I feel better already!! :)

Leon Russianoff and Joe Allard taught their students how to learn, and how to practice in a focused way. You want to thrive, not just survive...

Eddie "Breakthrough" in 85? was a really breakthrough for him more like a all round clarinettist. His jazz albums and live jazz performances have set him as one of the most interesting performers. As classical clarinettist I was lucky to find his world premiére on youtube few years back(also interview with the soloist AND the composer)of Frank Proto Sextet some years ago. I liked that sextet so much that I found myself as soloist with strings from Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in Norway. We then did the European premiere. Its always interesting to follow Eddie:) go go!

I met Eddie in the seventies through Leo Russianoff. He was a great musician and a real gentleman. He deserves every ounce of his success, and more....

Have been looking forward to this interview for a long time, even though I don’t think you announced it in advance. I always expected you to get to Eddie.

I played with a trumpet player who was friend with Eddie and he said that Eddie focused on the clarinet because of too many sax players competition.

To be fair, Stanley Drucker is a much more versatile player than the modern great clarinetists mentioned. Listen to his Corigliano.
