How to change the door hinge on a Miele freestanding fridge? | Miele

In this video we will show you how to change the door hinge of your Miele freestanding fridge KFN29233 / KFN29283.
This video does not replace the instructions for use and installation. Please refer to the chapter "Safety instructions and warnings" in the instructions for use and installation.
The following steps are required for the door hinge change:
1) Remove the cover of the upper door hinge with a slotted screwdriver.
2) Risk of injury! The door must be held by another person.
3) Loosen the screw connection of the door hinge with the T15 screwdriver. Remove the door.
4) Risk of injury! As soon as the bearing bolt is removed from the lower unit door, the door is no longer secured. The unit door must be held in place by another person.
5) Loosen the bearing bolt and remove the door.
6) Using the T25 screwdriver, loosen the screws on the bearing block.
7) Fasten the bearing pedestal on the opposite side.
8) Using the T25 screwdriver, loosen the screws on the center mounting. Attach the mounting on the opposite side.
9) Using the T25 screwdriver, loosen the screws of the top door hinge and reverse to attach to the opposite side.
10) Using the T15 screwdriver, attach the door opening aid of both unit doors to the opposite side.
11) Place the bearing bushings of the unit doors on the opposite side.
12) Attach the lower and upper unit doors.
13) Insert covers. The door is not securely installed until the safety cover is properly in place.
14) Check the door seal for correct fit.
