    Excellent. There's not enough information for disabled travelling or going on holiday. Cheers guys and keep up the good work.

      Thanks. We agree that there isn't enough information out there for the disabled traveler and that is why we started this channel. So glad you found us!!!

    Thank you so much for all the great information. You are so helpful in areas that are lacking information! You both could write your own little booklet..... Helpful hints from Frank and Kevin, lol Thank you again, Joannie

    Thanks guys for the nice tour. It's so awesome to see a handicap accessible room through the eyes of another physically challenged individual. I have an incomplete C5/6 spinal cord injury and require the use of a wheelchair 90% of the time, but am able to use a roller walker for short distances. I've only been on three cruises. Two on Carnival, and one on Royal Caribbean. Not a big fan of Carnival and will more then likely not cruise with them anymore. We, however, did very much enjoy our RC cruise. Was huge fan of the "Adult Only" solarium area. After watching some of your videos and hearing your recommendations for NCL, we've decided to give them a try. We're sailing in May, 2020, to Bermuda, in a handicap oceanview room . We picked the beverage package and dining at three speciality restaurants as our perks. Airfare was also "free" from our hometown airport. I like the fact that all of this rolled together in one manageable bill, that will be paid off well before we actually sail. They'll be no need to second guess ourselves about buying drinks, or whether to dine in a speciality restaurant or not. I do have medications that require refrigeration. Can you request that your room attendant empty your refrigerator of the contents that are for sale?
    Thanks again foryour videos. You have some really great travel organization tips that I've taken note of, as well. Happy and safe cruising. 😃 🛳

      You can request the cabin steward empty your mini fridge, if you want.....but you can't put medications in it that require refrigeration.....the mini fridge is not the correct temperature for that. You will need a Medi-fridge...which you can request from NCL, via your " special needs form " prior to sailing.

    Thanks to you both for taking the time to explain all the details of cruising with wheels. I never thought it was possible for me to be able to cruise, as I am wheelchair bound. I am now looking to book a holiday and know to ask all the right questions.

    The thing that really concerns me is that narrow hallway. If a wheelchair, which can completely rotate in one spot, has so much trouble turning into the room, making that turn must be impossible in a scooter.

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  Před 7 lety +1

      All hallways are narrow on the ships. It takes a few days to get into a rhythm of how to open the door myself. I do prefer the automatic door openers however. I was hoping they had been added to the staterooms during the last remodel but alas, they had not. I think a scooter would be easier to get into the room. The issue wasnt the turning radius, it was the weight of the door and the fact I have to turn my wheels to propel forward while trying to keep the heavy door open.

      I'll take your word for it. I've been thinking of going on a cruise, so I've been watching a lot of videos like yours. The Disney ships looked like they have much wider hallways, and more maneuvering space in the rooms.

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  Před 7 lety +1

      Maxwell Edison Actually that's not true. The hallways on the Disney ships we have been in are just about the same width. The cabins are also about the same size.

    "Grab/Towel" bar(s).
    If they don't work as both, I feel the cruise line needs to rethink the design of the roll-in bathroom in general

    Hi! I was wondering how the noise level was from the cafe above?

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  Před 6 měsíci

      Good question! It was ok for most of the cruise. The early morning on occasion we heard them setting up deck chairs. For the most part though we heard nothing. We are early risers though.

    OMG!
    Is that a stripper pole?
    You guys are killing me.

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  Před 6 lety

      Some of the handicap rooms have a pole in them. It is to hold up the ceiling being that the rooms are so large to accommodate for persons in wheelchairs. I think on that trip we kept saying "When are the strippers gonna show up?" LOL
