    As a Gambian 🇬🇲, I felt Nigerian 🇳🇬 police didn't do their work to stand up for Mohbad before his death and I feel that the police knows who are all involved in his death. Let nobody rely on our African police to protect us. Chaaaiiiiii 😢😢

      I don't know about Gambian police, but in Nigeria, we don't have police except if you have money. The letter he wrote wasn't backed up with money is the reason why nothing was done. And funny enough if the person accused is rich, nothing will be done. Nigerian police is a mess.

No one deserves to go through this at all, am a mother to boys and it pain my heart how a fellow mother, wife and son had to loose their son, husband and father like this😭😭. • @cmichael2967

    This is how it works.
    1. Report to police, write a petition and pay to mobilize the police.
    2. Commissioner or Assistant Commissioner signs the petition.
    3. The police goes for an arrest. After arrest they interrogate the suspect, the suspect is made to write statement and is detained.
    4. Investigation commences.
    So, in this case, the police got bribes and didn't follow up. That's all.

      The police are part of our problem due to corruption. You have to understand that the same naira Marley is also an ambassador for the NDLEA that gave MOHBAD poisoned water in their custody. It was a planned setup. The same way hushpuupi uses the top Nigerian police to go after his enemies in Nigeria. The country is all about money. This kind of case would have been taken by the FBI in the United State. Their trying to push the case on the nurse that look after him in his hospital bed. He was buried so quickly without going through toxicologist.

    You are on point about how the Nigerian Police snitch on someone who submits a petition to them. They usually call the accused and get money from him/her. It would now eventually become a case of the highest bidder. Police would go ahead to teach the offender how to defend himself/herself and how to even lie against the reporter of the case. It happened to me! Whoever pays the highest money is the one who is innocent.

This man was married, how can a father be involved in his late son's burial? We're Yorubas, fathers are never involved in his son/daughter's burial. They are not even allowed to know the burial ground. The father also is 100% involved. I heard he had a show in Canada today and they killed him because they don't want him to shine. From my experience, it often feels more like a criminal force. When I flew from the USA to Nigeria, the police officer assigned to me almost put my safety at risk. If it weren't for my expertise in Cyber Security and some divine intervention, I might not have made it out alive.

I don't know why we Nigerians create something that would later turn to our disadvantage. With the current situation in Nigeria, it's best to travel unannounced and you remain low key until you leave such that nobody will even notice you came except maybe your family if you trust them. Going around with a police man tagging along behind you is more like seeking attention and I would never understand why some Nigerians enjoys that showoffish attitude

    Good job mrs Adeola!! Thanks so much for your analysis on Mohbad's death. Among all other analysis, yours remains a top notch. Thats the biggest truth you said. A true justice must not be bias, respecter of person, no matter the status, religious, afiliation, connection. The police too must be question & also, brought to book. My question to our dear country Nigeria is, why is it that, is when there catastrophy before our so call law enforement react? Is a big shame to our law enforcement. May almighty God console Mohbad's family. Thanks everyone!

    I have been saying this. But at this point we need to seek help from the international community and we also need independent observers to be a part of this case. The government was reluctant to intervene in the case. The police were reluctant to do their jobs. International Criminal Court of justice need to be involved. 💔

    • @Nature-ep5cu
      @Nature-ep5cu Před 9 měsíci

      Why can't we help ourselves, why are we lawless and corrupt, why do we not have systems in place to address issues like this. Why do we choose both the average citizen and leaders to rely on the International Community. Our leaders have shown many times they are incompetent, useless to themselves and citizens and to society as a whole but look to the International Community to give them handouts, put systems in place for them and their country and solve their issues. In otherwords the majority of the Nigerian and African leaders are bandits and this is how the International Community sees them and the countries the govern.

    I don't have any faith in the Nigerian justice system or the police for that matter to investigate this. I do however hope that this has sensitised Nigerians when such cries for help arise. And for the bullies who rely on their popularity for their livelihood, at least Nigerians can bring an end to that, even if the government fails as they're expected to. Such a shame. Been listening to his lyrics again and they have a whole different meaning.
