Do you miss the rye? I did a lawn renovation here and seeded rye for the winter. This grass is amazing. Sad that it won't survive our summer here in South Florida. Sprayed glyphosate last night. didn't feel good. and I can't find a grass type that has that dark green color with fine blades. Any suggestion? Also, the budget is kind of short lol. Sprigging from sod may be an affordable option though. Thought about zoysia compadre which is seeded.

Man congratulations Brett and family. Surrounding yourself with the right people is the most important thing you can do and you can't beat Allyn Hayne. You should be proud buddy welcome to the south.
Instead of Bermuda, try to get ahold of Zeon or Emerald Zoysia. Zoysia is becoming more popular in florida and it performs way better. Check the NTEP.
Or if you want to experiment and and really test the waters on something cool, Seashore Paspalum. Bermuda, or Bermierda as I call it is for amateurs. Welcome to the south.
That may be a possibility for sure.
