Graphics mods and quest mods have kept me going for the last 5 years . Do a play through at minimum once a year

Most modding tools comes from the modding community, not Bethesda.
Oblivion started being a "modding game" long time before Skyrim. There were Oblivion mods on Nexusmods few day after the release of the game and before the release of Betheda "Construction Set".
Skyrim has more mods than Oblivion only because it's a bit less outdated than Oblivion

@@DolphinOngFr mod integration =/= modding tool. A modding tool is a tool to create mods.

SF already has mods and the creation kit isn't available yet, but once it is modding for SF will get better. Oblivion and even Morrowind both had a creation kit.

@@nickatnite85 Most Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout, mods are made without the creation kit.
SKSE, xEdit, SSEEdt, DLL loaders, etc are tools made by modders because the tools released by Bethesda are just level design editor and basic game design settings but no access to the poorly limited game engine code.
I'm not even talking about all the textures/3D models/animations/sounds mods which just need using the file structure of the games and no specific tool for those games.

@@spacepirate9882some mods even change the source code of Skyrim because Bethesda could not be bothered to make it more stable.

    With Modding: play daily
Without Modding: stop playing after the death of my Xbox 360

@@DolphinOngFr nope it would be dead, the story is boring, the combat is awful, and there's no choice, your choices dont matter in skyrim 🤣

I agree with this except SF after over 150 hrs in had way more bugs for me then skyrim at first release. Hopefully starting a New game + will fix some of the glitches i have like not being able to own more then 3 ships now. Creatures spawning dead in caves, crashing to desktop, freezing.

It depends I played thousands of hours on Xbox 360 back in high school no mods just pure vanilla. now that I have a PC I prefer mods that just overhaul the graphics and retexture vanilla armour mods that Improve vanilla Skyrim and not turn it into a completely new game. Would I still play vanilla Skyrim? Hell yeah.

The real question is how many times have you purchased skyrim? For me... too many XD
Multiple times for xbox and Pc (hard copies early on, later digital since I lost the hard copies :-p )

The game is obsolete. And if you want to mod it, good luck: you need 3 months for every patch, fix, compatibility patch with other patches... quite frankly, not worth it.

Nope. Ypu now have "modpacks". I recently installed "Nolvus" wich has like 2000 mods.

The game is mid, it's only good at release when you're still 12 years old or younger. After growing you realize how awful this game compared to previous elder Scrolls vanilla only. Morrowind and daggerfall is the best, although playing daggerfall unity is basically total conversion.
