    He is the most dynamic loose forward in the league. If you give him a 1 on 1, he is either beating the defender or he'll get an offload. Amazing player

      He is certainly the right age to take into the next RWC but at who's expense!? We are so blessed in the loose forwards. Obviously does not seem to be in a player in the mold the Boks are looking for and I suppose the coaching setup has earned the right to choose but for me personally I'd have him in there as well.

    here in SA we our loose forwards are typically tall and big whereas the ABs always had loose forwards that could basically play centre. nice to finally have one of those

    Dayimani is like the Lionel Messi of rugby. He consistently cancels out two or three defenders, giving his team mates an unbelievable amount of time and space to finish.

    • @acadoe
      @acadoe Před měsícem +1

      I kinda get it. IF you look at how our Bok 8's play, they are defensive rocks, threats at the breakdown and generate go forward in attack. Dayimani is more of a side stepping, offloading, speed demon 8. He is certainly talented, just not in the ways the Boks use their 8. Even Dayimani said he needs to work on the tight stuff more. If he does, he will be the full package and will certainly get a call up. Roos is a bit of a hot head, but I reckon he will mature nicely and will get his chances in the Bok jersey. Then again, there is so much talent in the backrow, it's hard to get a shot.

  • @wikuscarstens5264
    @wikuscarstens5264 Před měsícem +1

    Shame the Springboks dont want to play him, they need to get ready to play against him then. Rassie going on about him not being a complete player and then lauding Manie for not having to be good at place kicking as he brings another dimension to the Springboks style of play. Why do you need to mold him into something else when he could just as well be an unstoppable force.

    • @subbie5498
      @subbie5498 Před měsícem +1

      he does add something daiyamani to me is better than all those springbok loosies but plays a style that suits the stormers sometimes coaches prefer a certain players and to me it seems rassie wants players that like to crash and bash without thinking about what they do like elrigh and hanekom

    • @wikuscarstens5264
      @wikuscarstens5264 Před měsícem +3

      @@subbie5498 I saw Rassie mention with the alighnment camps that he basically feels he sees players that can grow into more "all rounders" as I think the crash ball rugby would be difficult to keep improving. I can understand that, but if Dayimani already has explosive running and great ball handling what else does he want him to achieve? Again if we dont pick such a great player then we will just lose him in any case.

    • @acadoe
      @acadoe Před měsícem

      I think with playmakers you can make sacrifices regarding the other aspects of their game, look at Willie Le Roux too. But they are playmakers, they dictate the way your team attacks. I don't think an 8 could and should have that scope to dictate how a team plays, they need to be solid at defence and the breakdown or it will hurt your team. Even Dayimani said he needs to work on his tight stuff.

      @@Outlaw-of2lt I guess that was the only games you ever saw him playing. Every player everywhere has off days, even the current best Springboks have had off days. Let me know which rugby team you support and I will pick out a few kak players also. He doesnt have to outperform his opposite number every minute of every game to be considered good or great.

  • @acadoe
    @acadoe Před měsícem

    For those wondering why he isn't in the Bok setup, it's because we don't use 8's as a creative or running threat. He needs to be great in the tight stuff, which is not Dayimani's strength. If he develops those things more, he could make it into the Bok team.
