This hit home so much! I have an older half-sister, and my father has never left her out of my life; I grew up getting to know her and getting the love from her. Even my birth-mother's family welcomed her like niece or granddaughter!
My dad still talks to her and so do I, despite being 13 hours away from each other now. Half-siblings are nice to have, too. 💙
Something similar happened to me but except that I didn’t knew I had a grown adult half sister because my dad didn’t tell us about her or my youngest sister who is 1 years old. When I was younger I wanted to have a another sister or a older sister that is like in her 30s. Later one it came true but my dad was a cheater and he lied about everything. I don’t know what to say about this situation that I’m in but I just wish I can talk to her and tell her about us since she’s part of family and want her know about her younger sisters. But I’m nervous she won’t like us since we are his other daughters and she didn’t know about our dad being a freaking cheater. But hopefully she loves us and take care of us like a sister does 😕

I'm sure she will adore you as her own sisters, too! I know mine did, and even though we were children from my father's other family, she still loved us. Sometimes love doesn't work out the way you want it to and that's okay! It's never fair to blame it on the kid.
My birth-mother cheated on my dad, and I treat her boyfriend's child like my own brother because it wasn't his decision to have his father involved in the drama.
And my stepmother's kids welcomed us with open arms, too. I'm sure she will love you just as much as you love her. 💙

I just did one of those dna ancestry things I had got the results the year before last, she is 2 months younger and he mom swore she never slept with the guy, my dad who had a dna test on me when I was 12-14 knew about me but I guess in the same way wanted proof. He denied her even with me telling him that she’s my sister and we share an aunt (his sister)

I can relate to this I found out about my oldest daughter when she was eight years old. My youngest daughter is 10-months younger. My wife had a hard time but we worked past it. my girls are in their late thirty's now. It wasn't infidelity just a previous relation from another state.

I thought i was the only one seeing this. She made her choice.
