Family Holiday Time! Jet2 Travel Day to Benalmadena, Hotel RIWO - Days 1&2 | April 2024

Hello lovelies! I'm back with a slightly different type of trip - a family holiday!
Back in April, I went with my 5 year old son and his dad to Benalmadena on the Costa de Sol for 4 nights with a Jet2 deal. We flew from/to Stansted.
This was my first experience travelling with Jet2 and using one of their package holidays and I have to say, I was very impressed! Everything was super organised and the communication from booking til back on home soil was fantastic.
We booked to stay at Hotel World RIWO (www.jet2holida...) which was on a complex compromising of three Holiday World resorts. We opted to go half board (breakfast and dinner or lunch) as we wanted to be able to explore during the day. I previously visited Benalmadena 10 years ago with my family so it was lovely to take a trip to some familiar areas. We had a junior suite which had a kitchen, spacious balcony, dining table and lounge area separate to the bedroom and bathroom.
Hotel RIWO is at the top of a hill and a free shuttle runs every 10 minutes to the bottom, making it super easy to exit the resort. Across the road was the Beach Club which I highly recommend visiting! It's included with all-inclusive bookings or 10euro for a day pass. For adventures further afield, we made use of the public bus 1.55euro each one way into town as well as using Bolt for taxis (download the app and newbies get the first few journeys discounted).
The hotel resort itself was great and we found the facilities to be ideal for the length of time we were there. The hotel has an outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool - which you have to book an hour slot for, again, included if all-inclusive but at a cost if not. We didn't utilise this but I can imagine it to be useful during the cooler months.
Evening entertainment started with a children's disco and games followed by another act. We saw the magician on the first night who really impressed my son (and us adults)!
