Is there a community for Umiguri and home sim play in general? I'm spoiled from the ddr/stepmania scene it's been hard for me to collect charts lol. This looks insane btw i look forward to the release
I'm trying to get Umiguri to work on my PC because I love the game it emulates. I get stuck at the loading screen though and it never loads. Any idea how to fix that?
When you launch the game, a log.txt file will be created to the game directory. I'd recommend looking through that file for any errors as a first step. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with the software and I've not run into problems like this so I can't help any further.
To start a chart, you create a folder to umiguri/data/music/"category name"/"song name" and place your mp3 file to that folder. Then in Margrete (chart editor) you create an empty chart, and save it to the same "song name" folder where your mp3 file is. After saving you can press P to open chart properties and select your mp3 from the list under "BGM filename". This however only creates a file for margrete to read, and it doesn't yet work in Umiguri. To get your chart to umiguri you have to navigate to File > Export and export the .ugc file, again to the same song folder.
Game is emulated with software called UMIGURI. This is easily found from google. Charts can be created with another software called Margrete. Links to Margrete can be found from the official UMIGURI website.

hey quick question, how do you add music to the Umiguri charts? I've been researching for a couple weeks and cant find out how
