I'm just starting to watch classic EQ videos and really want to give project 1999 a go for that old-school feel I've been craving in an mmo. This video was incredibly enjoyable to watch, start to finish, hearing about how much you enjoy the world and that kind of thing. Good stuff!

I just downloaded it & its brought back some amazing memories! Servers are growing too - over 2k on this morning on the PVE Blue server!

My very first MMO, and the biggest addiction in my life. Still playing p99 today too.
A quick way to loot your corpse is to right click on your items and they'll automatically go into your inventory. If you start with the upper left box and go left item, then the item on the right, then go down a row, you will place the items in the same locations on your body as before. :-)
Man this brings back some good memories. I also played this in high school when it first came out. I might have to give project 1999 a shot! Thanks for the video I didn't know about it.
I was 5 when this game came out, I remember playing Champions of Norrath on PS2 and on the back was an ad for EverQuest. I started plahing P99 and I really like it. MMOs suck now. This is refreshing for me

First 10 levels can probably be almost without cuts, the rest must likely be more selective to be entertaining - but I would probably see it however it was made. :) - Brings back fond memories! :D
I played Asherons call back then. Then SWG. Then Darkfall. Then Ultima Online. Lots of mediocre to terrible MMOs in between.
Now I'm playing WoW for the first time with the classic launch and am finishing up LOTRO. EQ is next on my list with P99.

Project 1999 wiki is really helpful for maps, instead of using EQ Atlas.
Came across the old books I made for spells, epic 1.0, tradeskills, quest item farms. It made me smile, it's the only game I did as much research as much as I played.
I know this is old, but I love seeing fellow alt-aholics who can't stick to one main and just level up several characters at once
I played EQ after I graduated. I had a wood elf bard, which wasn't popular, but since I was and am a musician, it resonated with me..hehe.

you can gain affinity with any race and city..there are usually smaller towns or outposts that have guards or what have ya b4 you get to the major cities that u can quest for or kill certain things to make those races/factions like u more

Nice video, but I need to correct you (sorry not sorry) about wizards not being a solo class for anyone wanting to play a solo class. To be clear, there is a rough spot between levels ~18-29. This is because wizards get their first snare spell, Bonds of Force, at level 29. Grouping is still preferable to soloing as a wizard until level 51. At level 51 wizards get the first in their line of "Pillar" quad nukes, and a really good quad snare. So from 51-60 wizards can quad kite mobs solo for pretty good exp.
Also you can root nuke at those levels (18-29)

i played Tibia before i started playing wow. i remember seeing everquest in my local games store. never picked it up but now ive started playing on p99 green server. im a dwarf warrior. its super fun. im also super excited for pantheon rise of the fallen

Also how do i delete or get rid of bound items. They wont even let me drop them

Ah it's such a shame to have only made one video.. Being a French girl I'm looking for a lot of guides that have been well worked out in detail but I can't find any and the P99 wiki is done in a hurry and poorly presented.. :/
I am new to this eqp99 thing I want to enjoy it but mine doesn't look anything like what I see all the videos graphics and UI look much better than mine how do I change mine to look like yours?

I love this game but neither then or now have I ever been able to get to the end content. I always get to low 30s and get frustrated and quit.

How do you actually get into the game on the green server? Can you do it from the regular EQ station launcher or do you HAVE to load EQ Platinum? I can't get hold of EQ Platinum... any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is impossible to watch for me when i have to hear you swallowing every 15 sec.
