Thank you for your podcasts, I enjoy them so much. Regarding Rocky's allergies, I want to share some of my experience with pets. I had a little westie 2 decades ago. She developed bad allergies which manifested as a teary eye and later she would lick her arms raw. I didn't know anything about pet or human health and what our vet suggested didn't work. At that time, there was a contaminated dog food disaster in the news that scared me and I decided to make my dogs food against our vets advice. Soon after, her allergies went away which was very surprising but welcome result. Since then, I have done a lot of cat rescue and have cared for many cats with health issues and I 100% believe that for most animals, a good healthy diet is the solution. For dogs, I think it's important to wipe them when they come inside if they have been in lawns that may be treated with pesticides like in parks, etc. I don't like medications unless there are not other option because of the side effects to health and because they don't generally address the root cause of the issue. A couple of resources I use with my pets are "vetenary secrets" podcast and Dr. Becker's real food for dogs and cats book. I just wanted to share these with you in case you want to explore.
Thank you for sharring Lucy! Thia is so sweet that you help all these animals out! We were on a strict diet with Rocky, with expensive food that vet suggested, in 4 months nothing changed, he kept all the symptoms. Thats why its so frustrating.. :/

I just recently put together 9 different propagations into one pot with the same thought process lol I figured if they cohabitated well enough in the vase together they should do ok in a pot together. They are all doing well so far and it’s very pretty seeing all the different colors and textures in one pot.

I use old pickle jars that are very similar, it works a dream...to save me having them about my units/windows etc i put the jars in macrame hangers and they look so cool hanging, plus stops my silly cats knocking them over 🌱🌿🪴💚

Have u considered reaching out to veterinarian colleges (teaching colleges) in your area, may provide vet care at reduced/fee free. Or even try going to a diff vet for a 2nd opinion..

Cute terrarium! 🌿 Rocky was bad 😯 He was mad because you didn't take him with you. Temper tantrum 😁 Nice ZZ plant there. I got green lacewing larvae in the summer when I had thrips. None of those sprays worked for me. I got the ones you mix in water so I didn't have to repot all of my plants. They also can be ordered on cards you hang on your plants. 🌿

That was such a good idea to use the jar for your Jewel Orchid it looks real good the three plants looks good together in the black pot I’m trying to figure out how Rocky got into the ice box it would have been interesting if you had a doggie cam I bet he was having a ball maybe he was bored or Hungary I’m sure it was a big mess lucky he didn’t cut his feet on the glass glad he didn’t get hurt thank you for sharing

Hi Svetlana, vets Bill's are so overpriced. I spent about £10k with my little dogs health issues over his life time, thank god I had insurance.

Perlite is where it’s at!!! It propagates quicker than water and the roots don’t get tangled like it can with the moss!! It also seems easier to go from perlite to soil than water to soil!! Sooo sorry about your thrips… mealy bugs seem to love my plants:-(

Great to see new content the zz you mentioned, I've seen for sale in the uk and they are calling it zz long leaf I dont know if that's the official name and with perlite propagation be careful not to over water if you doy accident it can be tricky to solve but once you master watering it's a really good medium for propagating plants especially top heavy plants 😁🌱🌿

@@fireflyintheroom I think the persons watering style makes a difference like I'm terrible for over watering so if someone is an under water person it may not as much as a problem I'd personally if you need to water it be very careful until you've figured it out, it's easier to add than take away with perlite 😁🙌🌱🌿
Can't wait to see how the combo plant looks when mature. Although I love the way the combos look, I am unsure of my ability to put compatible plants together. But I might try a few!

You could try beneficial mites and nematodes for the thrips they work wonders then you dont have to use harmful chemicals to get rid of thrips/spider mites / white fly / mealy bug etc if that's not up your alley I have heard pronto is a great product to get rid of thrips !!

Hi Svetlana! I'm not sure what kinds of symptoms Rocky is having, but just wanted to make a suggestion if might be allergies. My dog (shepherd/pit mix) was having lots of itchy skin issues. He was so miserable! So I put him on vegan dog food and that did the trick. No more constant scratching! The food is a bit more expensive than regular dog food, but less than the vet bills and medication I was buying and so worth it. P.S. Rocky is such a beautiful boy! :)

Happy Sunday! Rocky always makes me laugh with the huge branches😂 I hear you about how expensive the vets are, I think their prices are ridiculous and unjustified other than greed, I suppose that can be said for many things these days. I can't believe he got into the fridge, dogs are way too smart sometimes. My son was visiting me a couple of weeks ago with his dog and she got into a tussle with a skunk 🦨 and oh boy, the smell was awful, we put her in the shower! I can still smell a hint of it in the house today. The glass pasta container is a great idea, I don't think having more would look bad, it adds another bit of visual interest among the houseplants. Hope you are doing good and have a great day💕
