- The undead are among us and livelier than ever when Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, and a talented group of young-bloods star in Interview with the Vampire, the spellbinding screen adaptation of Anne Rice's best seller that's "one the best films of the year" (Caryn James, The New York Times). Award-winning box-office favorite Cruise stylishly plays the supremely evil and charismatic vampire Lestat. Pitt is Louis, lured by Lestat into the immortality of the damned, then tormented by an unalterable fact of vampire life: to survive, he must kill. Stephen Rea, Antonio Banderas, and newcomer Kirsten Dunst also star. One lifetime alone offers plenty of opportunities for the savage revelries of the night. Imagine what an eternity can bring. Hypnotically directed by Neil Jordan, Interview with the Vampire offers enough thrills, shocks and fiendish fun to last a lifetime.... and beyond.

The most gorgeous vampires I've ever seen.

In live action yeah.
Nikiforos Peristeras Excuse me? TWILIGHT!!? THEY RUINED VAMPIRES!
The other 'vampires' being?
So true

This was such a great dramatic movie but was underrated. Kristen Dunst did a marvelous job as Claudia and Tom Cruise brought a great performance as Lestat.
Yes
This is the most impressive and well made vampire movie of all time!
true
True!
One of the best vampire movies ever made. Top 5 probably.
in my opinion this was the best vampire movie ever!
anne rice wrote them with human emotions, not just monsters.
the writing had elegance and grace, and most importantly stayed true to the time period! the dialog was written in the language and way of speaking that people would have used at the time.
and tom cruise and little kirsten dunst were perfection in their roles. the soundtrack was haunting and set the tone for the film prefectly. if you watch one vampire movie this halloween, make it THIS one!
Currently writing a research paper on psychopathy...Lestat didn't suffer from it, he embraced it!
😂😂
This film is one of the best I have seen so far, especially in the vampiric domain. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt gave us a genuine performance! Tom Cruise has outdone himself for this role, he brought Lestat to life, that is an undeniable evidence. I am disappointed that it ended, I really loved the relationship between Louis and Lestat, the deep chemistry between these two men is overwhelming. Nothing to do with The Queen Of The Damned, although it is the continuation of the books and it has amazing soundtracks, no work can match the treasure that is Interview with the Vampire in my opinion. I am a kind of pissed by the remake news, I don't understand why they have to do it and possibly ruin such a masterpiece.
I don't know what I have done over the years to pass next to it, and now that I have seen it, I feel so nostalgic. I am still touched and want more and more. I am probably going to read the books, I want to discover all the story and know how the characters future is done. I hope Louis and Lestat will reunite again, I am just in love and so attached with this couple. Anyway, I float on a cloud thanks to this magnificent story that shook me and always will.
I really loved to read your comment because I feel the same about the movie. I also decided to read the whole Vampire Chronicles and now I'm reading the second book and I am totally in love. I find myself in Louis and at the same time, I want to be like Lestat. I'm so fascinated by both of them and their life story.
Yeah, but Lestat ate a baby.
This movie is a Classic! Highly recommended to anyone who haven't seen it.
One of the greatest vampire films ever made.
Yes it was best of 1994 amazing all star cast.
I was really sad when this movie ended. I want more from this series, just like how Claudia wants more blood :(
Yes
@@kauanamaral1654they made a queen of the Damme movie
So do u watch the show now?
A Masterpiece. In love with this movie and this story is so remarkable.
Sorry Twilight, you'll never be as Amazing as the Ann Rice Legacy.
I love both series, but Anne Rice is incredible and takes more chances with story and characters. I always love seeing different interpretations of vampires and werewolves. Personally this is my favorite vampire film, never gets old, hit all the right notes. Check out my Twilight fan short on my channel if you can? I tried to do something different with the series and it's not a love story. I have nostalgia for Twilight because I was a teenager when those films came out, but I hope the vampire chronicles come back!
Twilight can only dream.
That's your opinion.
I strongly agree to disagree.
Anne Rice is a true artist, the writer of twilight isn’t even near the same level, not even close, regardless who’s a bigger vampire chronicles/twilight fan
tom cruise and brad pitt could be a perfect couple :D
Huy Nguyen They technically were. lol!
brad is huge crap, and Tom is much higher class, like Dicaprio
Huy Nguyen stop being gay
JustinLodes Stop being a homophobe
JustinLodes Jesus was gay, and don't come and tell me that he didn't have morals. Homosexuality is not a perversion, it's just one of many romantic and sexual attractions. Oh, and you don't know me so don't you dare assume that I don't have morals because I do, just not the same as you.
For some reason Cruise always played the most admirable and charming dad on-screen but in real he turned out to be a deadbeat.
When I see Lestat I want to be a vampire and stay with him forever
Then you realize it’s Tom cruise
The best adaption from page to screen Tom Cruise as Lestat was perfect he had Lestat's personality nailed to perfection
OMF SEEING TOM CRUISE WITH THIS PERSONA HAS ME LAUGHING SO HARD 😂😂😂
?
My sister was laughing at him too while I was trying to watch the movie. I wanted to throw something at her head.
My most favorite movie of all time. Cant believe my mother let me watch, every WEEK. Never seen the trailer though, this was exciting.
Humbra
Kristin Dunst was amazing in this film. I was her age when it came out, and I remember acting out some of her scenes.
Absolutely love this movie my all time favorite love the entire series by Anne rice but a couple things in the trailer were good lines wish they would have kept them
The best vampire story ever told
The trailer from 1994 is still as good as it has ever been!
So then why do a lot of modern day movie trailers not as good at this???
Omg i love this Movie sooo much . I always loved the Classic Oldschool Vampires more ❤.
I've watched this movie so many times i love it so much~
Hmmm...I've known this movie from start to finish for decades and could pick up on any differences...there are a few different cut scenes in this trailer that weren't in the film. What a treat to revisit this!
You're a vampire...who never knew what life was until it ran out in a red gush over your lips... and ...I can't stand this any longer.
Brad Pitt & Tom Cruise clashed on the set of this movie and Brad Pitt hated being in Interview With The Vampire because he was miserable and he hated dealing with his character Louis and The only good thing about this movie was Kirsten Dunst as Claudia! Thats why I liked it because of her! The book is way scary and Anne Rice did not want Tom Cruise as Lestat but he proved Anne RIce wrong and Tom Cruise did a good job playing him I only wish they would have done The Vampire Lestat right after Interview With The Vampire but they did Queen Of The Dammed in 2002! Vampires were always my favorite and this was way better than Twilight! Anne Rice was queen of horror! I wonder if they will do the Wolf Gift into a movie!
I would like to see the wolf gift as a movie. There are rumors a vampire chronicles series being on Hulu.
Great movie. One of my most watched and forever underated.
So many bits changed/cut from the film eee it's nice to hear the different lines!
Amazing how Lestat knew how to drive a car at the end! lol.
Cracking movie though, easy to watch, good stuff. Cult classic!
@Madison Kuyper or he just read the minds of random humans and obtained the skill that way
Think about the incredible speed and coordination a vampire has, especially a powerful one like Lestat. He could master a car easily, these are superhuman vampires, not slow wimpy humans.
Interview with the vampire. Best movie ever
One of my favorite movies. 👍
there are talks that Anne Rice wants to make a vampire chronicles tv series.
To all vampire fans. Play "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines"
Emil Brandwyne I love the game
Play Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, first. I loved that game far more than Bloodlines.
That game is amazing, once patched. Also play Vampyr!!
Best vampire movie ever. And popularized them in the 90s. Lost Boys doesn't deserve to be on the radar.
Melhor filme de vampiro que ja existiu!
After watching the ending of this movie, you really feel it was a comedy in disguise of a tragedy. This movie was full of homoerotic undertones. Two vampires, gorgeous looking vampires, stay together. The narrater, Brad Pitt is the melancholy wife, and Tom Cruise is the laid back husband. They adopt a feisty daughter and dress her like a doll all the time. Father (Tom Cruise) brings food, while mommy (Brad Pitt) sleeps with the baby. In normal houses people get angry when they find porn under their child's bed. The Vampire parents are angry when they find a corpse under their daughter's bed. Daughter wants to grow up soon. Things escalate, and the mother and child decide to move out. They live in other country where they are mugged and everything....
At the end Louis is still whining and sad about his life, while Lestat is all about giving a "choice" that he never had. Shows two polar opposite personalities. One regrets what he chose, the other accepts what he couldn't choose.
if you read the books it is homoerotic
I love this movie!
It was a good movie, and what i liked a lot was the soundtracks
My fav vampire movie ever.
It's one of my fav movies along side with the lost boys
is it just me or are these two men really into each other😉😏
Happy Birthday, Tom Cruise!
Just married December 15, 2019 odd but my husband bites my hand. Longevity of life I guess.
A masterpice.
Based on the groundbreaking novel by Anne Rice and directed by Neil Jordan of The Crying Game.
Tom and brad OMG my love 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love vampires
I heard that they thought of using tomato juice as fake blood in this film.
They used real blood, human blood.
You know how at the Vampire Theatre the vampires were actors portraying humans who were pretending to be vampires but were actually were actually vampires? Well the actors Cruise, Pitt etc are REAL vampires pretending to be actors, pretending to be humans playing vampires in a vampire film in which they were all vampires, even all the extra!
They need to make a sequel to this great film. Christian Slater should be a vampire if they did
The problem is they all look 20 ish years older than they used to and that’s being generous because of how well Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise has aged
I love vampire movies. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Whats that bit of music at the end of the trailer?. First heard it at the beginning of a movie called Vamp back in the day. Anybody know? Been lookin for it for awhile.

that song .... i have heard before .... in grace jones - 'vamp'
Brad Pitt in his prime 😍😍
A classic vampire film ❤️
EYE still want Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Antonio Banderas to join me in STAR (blank) MUSICAL for Star Wars 10: A Lost Jedi... GOD bless ye vampires!
It is so silly that people are trying to create a "new reality" in promoting the lie that this movie was titled "Interview With A Vampire". It has always been "Interview With The Vampire".
no it was always "Interview with a vampire", there are 20 more vampires in the movie. "The vampire" implies only one, dumbass
Yes it was always interview with the vampire.
no it was a Vampire i remember this clearly interview with a vampire no doubt
then how come on Netflix it says "interview with THE vampire"?
@@seniorgorilla But Louis is the only vampire being interviewed, so Louis does deserve to be called THE vampire. He's THE ONE vampire whose story and whose point of view we get from start to finish of the movie. Other characters come and go, but Louis is the one who's always there, telling his history to the reporter. THE ONE. And the book is entitled "Interview With THE Vampire" by its author, so you're insulting both Anne Rice and Eclectic Reader for no good reason that I can see!
see, this is what i love about these classic Moster movies. they just need to survive life until death comes for them. and they lived up to the original lore. at least before we had to make freaking hybrids of everything. in the films anyway.
Great book. I've never seen the movie though. Maybe I'll watch it one of these weekends.
Gostou ?
Why haven’t they even bothered to make a sequel to this movie? Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and the others would almost certainly reprise their roles.
Great
The french trailer is with a vampire, and on you tube. I was not wrong on the title i remembered.
I still want Tom Cruise (as Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Brad Pitt (as Louis Bathory) and Antonio Banderas (as End End) to be in the musical: Star (blank) Musical for Star Wars 10: A Lost Jedi with ME as well as THE Sid Pirate! Please tell them! I would also like Danny Filth and others to be in the musical group.
In Queen of the damn Lestat plays in it and is so much more cool . What happened to Brad Pitts character ? Where was he in that movie ? Is that the Vampire that came to visit him ?
Theres a series of books called the vampire chronicles interview was the first one the vampire lestat was the second queen the danned was the third all the characters intertwine throuhout history the and even though their written in a specific order some could be considered prequeals not sequeals. hope that helps im pretty sure im leaving out a couple of them oh yeah menoch the devil i think thrs the last of them but in that one lestat meets the devil u should really read um in order but i gotta disagree i think interview was a much better adaptation than queen of the damned i thought that movie was a tad bit hokey and dare i say twilightish eggh😕
He chose ONE man!... ME... SID PIRATE!!! For the country of HEAVEN!!! Now LIVES!!!
แบรด พิทต์ อย่างหล่อ
looks like a real bodice-ripper!
Brad pitt je tak okouzlující!
I assume I need no introduction. Don't worry, I'm going to give you the choice... I, never had.
Interview With The Vampire (1994) Movie:
Characters’s Personality:
Lestat: The Charismatic Sadistic Predator
Louis: The Depressed Caring Person
The difference between Lestat and Louis is that Lestat embraces his vampiric nature even though he is a ruthless maniac. As for Louis, he struggles to accept his vampiric nature and still holds on to his humanity because of his unforgettable painful loss of his dead wife & dead unborn child. Louis refuses to harm humans so he drinks the blood of animals especially rats to survive which is so gross, but understandable.
R.I.P Ann Rice!!!!!!
Tom Cruise e Brad Pitt deveriam refazer este filme

Cant seem to find the trailer for Interview with a vampire.
@matgrat79 and anyone else. The reason I say 1991 is because i saw it on VHS tape in late 1991. My sister had a copy. Also if It came out in nov 1994 I would never have seen it. I was in training at that time and saw no movies that year. Also.... Brad pitt had another major movie come out a month later! Legends of the fall! Dec 1994. That does not happen. The title is different also. Another thing Kirsten dunst...born 1982 would be 12 if it is 1994. Or 11 if filming the year prior. No in my memory its changed to 1994. Not an argument just how I remember it and so do alot of other people
I remember it being 1994, but I also rember it being called "Interview with A Vampire", without "The Vampire Chronicles" tagline. The biggest thing that jumps out at me is this reality's version of the title is grammatically inferior to the one in my native timeline. It doesn't make any sense. There are tons of vampires in this movie, and we don't know going in who the principle one being interviewed is. That's the whole point of the interview, to learn this stuff and have it dramatized before our eyes.
yes it was interview with A vampire, I remember 1991, like I said above, couldnt have been in 94 for me....
I saw it 1994 in the cinema. Kirsten Dunst was 11 years old in the movie.
In 1991 there was also "The Crying Game" from the same director.
In 1991 there was another vampire movie in the cinema: Bram Stoker's Dracula (with Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves and Gary Oldman).
bram stokers dracula came out in 1992, speaking of memories....Thanks Im aware of that movie, I saw this movie on VHS in late 1991or early 1992, Now regardless of what you say and what you remember this is what I remember as far as whats from the same director in 1991 I suppose you are saying he could not direct two at a time right? well there was also another pitt movie released in 1994 3 months later "legends of the fall", so when was it filmed? sept 93 to jan 94...so when was interview filmed? hmmmm. Can you tell me? Not to say he cant have two in a year he had 3 that year and 3 the year before. Production dates are key. Anyone not asking you to agree, how you remember is how you remember. I repeat like I did in an earlier comment....A lot of people remember it as I do, please research before making insults and telling me what sucks about my memory, thanks
I think it's hilarious you're trying to suggest a director can direct two films at the same time, but Brad Pitt can't act in two films at the same time. Actors are engaged in Hollywood films for anywhere from 6-12 weeks. Directors work on a movie for nearly two years. And since post-production in a movie takes anywhere between 6-12 months, the film was likely shot towards the end of 1993 (at the earliest) which coincides with the reason why they had to cast Christian Slater to replace River Phoenix who passed away just before photography started.
Also the film didn't come out on VHS until 1995.
It's not about what you remember, it's about how the entirety of the media available on the internet including reviews and "preview articles" date from 1993 and 1994. Not 1990 and 1991.
Title of this music 1:24????? I need to know it!!
"The Vampire Coven's Prayer".
you know I thought about this before you know I think I understand how it happened when I was wondering how that guy survive drinking dead vampire blood and I think it's because the girl slit his throat I think that's where she messed up because he probably bled out the poison that it has what kills vampires he probably ended up bleeding it out his neck
I didn't recognize Antonio Banderas....
*THEY ARE ALLL DAYS*
At least the original was eloquent with good actors. The industry has been doing this for years apparently. The Bible and other forms of media were used to try to tarnish some blood lines, because most of them were actually good people.
Never heard of or seen this. God dam
Eternity life I deal with it
You know why this movie was dedicated to River Phoenix? "Cause he was originally casted to play Malloy. Then he died before they began shooting. So Christian Slater filled in.
Antonio Banderas is the reason i'm gonna watch this LOL
Yea him and Brad Pitt!
Is this for real? ^^
The most realistic depiction of a life as a couple I have ever seen and Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise as Louis and Lestat were perfect casting.
not gonna lie christian slater looks hot here 100% watching it
Was supposed to be River's role.
