I have a question an eye with refractive error correction with a negative spherical lens -1.00 (6/9) then added with a cylindrical lens - 0.5 (6/7.5). is the cylindrical lens raised or lowered and why?
Yes In this case if spherical is in Minus and cyl is in Minus as well then half of cyl(with the same sign) will add in spherical correction algebrically. For example -1.00 sph - 0.50 cyl 180 axis Spherical equivalent 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 -1.25Sph. Hope this is clear.. If NO.. let me. Know
