Before I lost my passion it was all about the mega pixels and sensor size, and I became all consumed with getting "the shot", instead of enjoying the location, the walk, the company, this time however its different, its about the adventure and going back to the beginning, relearning film in 35mm, 120mm medium format and 4x5 large format.
If you enjoy the great outdoors, then this is the channel for you, I offer free walk guides to suit most, photo/walk guide coffee table zines, limited addition photography prints, and photo books
Each print is limited to 50, and will be numbered and signed.

I have to admit I struggled at first with its size, but now love it, certainly handles flare a lot better than the 2 TTArtisan lenses I have

A belated happy birthday to you and good set of photographs. . Your R2 and the 35mm ColourSkopar are perfect for unrban photography. I would stay with the 35mm if I were you, atleast for a while. The R2 is a short based range finder, which means it is at home with moderate wide and standard lenses with aperture of F2.5 or so. The range finder accuracy is not up to fast lenses. Something to bear in mind when you decide on the next lens. I struggle greatly with my M6 ( EBL of 50mm )and the 35mm f1.4 Summilux ASPH, and really have to concenterate on the focusing. FWIW the most accurate range finders are first the Russian made Kiev 4, and then the old Contax ii/III. Kiev 4 is actually a copy of the Contax II made on the same machinery which fell in the hands of Soviets after the war. These cameras have an effective Base Finder Lenght of about 70mm, followed by Leica M3 which is about 63mm. Your R2 has an EBL of about 37mm. Enjoy the camera.

Thanks Lensman57, thanks for the info, I will say away from the faster lenses, I’ve looked at the M6, just can’t afford it let alone justify it 😂 beautiful camera though, maybe one day. I’ve never looked at the old Russia cameras, but will take a look.

@@andyemmett9930 M6 is nice, but wait till you put your hands on an M3, or even an M2. I bought mine Years ago. Unaffordable these days. Russian rangefinders are fun. The lens choice is rather limited, but with a range finder usually a 50 or a 35 is all you need. At least that is how it used to be in the good old film times.

I have to say, I would love a Leica of some description, will check out the M3 though 👍

@@andyemmett9930 The best Leica ever. It takes 50, 90 and 135 in standard form and 35mm with the goggles.
