Lucy accidentally engaging in dialogue with her weapon out is the most Fallout player move I can think of.
Lost count of how many times I had to restart from a previous save because I accidentally shot first when I meant to initiate dialogue.

Everyone on LOTR's cast read the books and were familiar with the material.
Nobody in Fallout's cast played the games. I doubt even the director did. They called one of the characters "The Ghoul".

I don't think so, because the pregnant woman in the "photo op" with Lucy is also one the maniacs killing people, I think uncovering vault-tec's real goal/experiment is going to be a plot of the show or at least the inciting incident that causes her to leave the vault, guess we will see.
@@Alan-wj5zc I thought about the experiment too, but the upper body gear of that lady reminds me of raider gear. As for the pregnant lady, I think she got ahold of a weapon and started to waste some raiders. She did have a fork in her eye and that would make anyone go crazy with rage.

Interstellar was incredibly dumb and the only reason people thought TDK had good writing was because Heath Ledger killed himself. Westworld season one was great, then it all took a steep nosedive almost immediately and was a circus by season 3. Everything about this show in particular indicates that only someone who unironically liked the writing in Fallout 4 would like it, the story taking place smack dab in the center of NCR territory and the only evidence of their existence being a flag in the background of - most likely - a flashback.
It's going to be a one day long binge watch - i didn't think it could work but I'm happier with every new piece of footage.😊

WOW! This is packed with new info. Some confirming ideas we had and some totally new elements to pick through. Time to freeze frame every clip.
Seeing the Brotherhood acting like the religious fanatics they should be, and the Vault 33/32 Marriage raise my hope for the show even more ... there is still enormous potential to fail hard, i really hope it will at least be somewhat good.
I honestly think they have the look, the tone, and the ideas all pretty well established. The characters all seem pretty well thought out as well. Really, the only major pitfall I see coming is possibly the lore and the broader world. And to be honest, that all is going to hinge around how they handle the BOS and NCR in terms of New Vegas aftermath. It certainly makes me curious, I'll say that.

My hope is that the show is good, gets more seasons, and shows us other factions as well. Legion, the Pitt, and the Enclave. Theyd really need to build up the enclave before they actually bring them in though.

Still cautiously optimistic. Lots of small nods to the games so kudos there, lots of questions like the status of the NCR and flying T-60s with arm jets. As long as they're respecting the lore then I'm good and with actors like Walton Goggins in a major role I'm hopeful they got this.
Why in the heck did they not design a proper Jet pack for the Power Armor? Since when can power armor fly via jets in the arms? Just add the flippin Jet Packs that look incredibly awesome and don't do the silly little arm jets.
Apparently you don't remember jet pack mods on PA arms back in the day in '76.
Not everything needs to be 100% identical I mean why can't this be a different version of the power armor? in both fallout 3 and new vegas the power armor felt more like a suit than actual power armor now in fallout 4 you could actually feel how heavy the thing is and how powerful it is this version from amazon seems to be something more or less like 76+4

Instead for no sensible reason they gave us these tiny arm jets. Which is my whole point. Just do the Jump packs properly. They are relevant. Brotherhood seems to be in a war in the teaser and a Brotherhood soldier slammed an NCR trooper through a table while both sides flags flew in the background.
The brotherhood aren’t even supposed to exist at this point
I'm sure they will be. They were in decline after NV, but they're still the most populous civilization with the most access to wealth and resources that we know of post-war.

We need more video games adaptations like this and The Last of Us, because a TV series format allows for the time and effort to bring everything to life in a more comprehensive way. There are still good movie adaptations, but TV's the better option for bigger IPs.

@@jswizzlestickThe Lonesome road expansion has nothing to do with Shady Sands though? At the End you get to choose whether or not to nuke the I-15 or Dry Wells or both/neither.
It's most likely the Cathedral, where an actual nuke was detonated.
However, they might actually do some asspull where NCR is destroyed, because Tood hates that proper Fallout isn't "dead wasteland" like his East cost fanfiction.

Fallout is one of my favorite video game series! So excited for the Fallout Amazon Prime series, it looks to capture the feel of the games perfectly, they nailed the look of Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor. The world of Fallout has so much depth for amazing stories.

Fallout continuity is always messy, pre-war Jet, the BOS and Super Mutants being everywhere, I wouldn't worry about it.

Look, the handmade is basically just an AK with a shovel handle for a stock. You see "AKs" wielded by every bad guy in every show with a 20th-early21century faction and they are usually depicted as the bad guy. The assault rifle doesn't really resemble a current production weapon so it is a good choice. Besides, you have no idea yet if the show has a scene where the guy walks up with the assault rifle and four bos knights start laughing and go "why the fek are you using that POS, get a real gun initiate!". Let the weapon be the tool...not the critic.

All of this is based on the fallout content established before Bethesda. Play fallout 1,2 and New Vegas and that’s what we’re going into.
A world where the NCR probably won in 2288 for the second battle of Hoover dam and where the legion likely doesn’t exist in a large capacity.
A world where there’s only enclave remnants.
Maybe an independent Vegas exists

“Fallout explores the chasm between the haves and have nots” uh.. no? Fallout has always been about society rising from the ashes, not class divide. Also can we stop shoehorning the brotherhood into literally everything? The brotherhood being literally everywhere in such a big scale ruins the worldbuilding seem small. Especially when it appears no one has rebuilt anything in over 200 years. This is especially bad when you have cities that look pre war in fallout 2.

In Vegas, the NCR was already in the middle of a collapse, their government were selfish assholes and they expanded themselves way too thin, having the Dam would not fix that. Of course the Brotherhood would be more stable, considering they aren't really conquerors or expansionists and tend to focus on a more nomadic lifestyle and strengthening themselves over ruling more land, the consequence is that they are smaller than the NCR, but they're more stable and have better gear. After Tandi died, the NCR started to fall, if you didn't notice that then you didn't play Vegas, you just watched a lore video and pretended that you played Vegas.

It would explain why the NCR is even weaker(especially if the assassination on President Kimball occurred) and it would explain why the Prydwen was here. If the West Coast BOS was destroyed it to an extent the East Coast BOS might wanna investigate.
@@starhammer5247absolutely not, the NCR was stretched thin in the Mojave, not the main NCR nation as a whole. The brotherhood should not even be an entity. Hell, they shouldn’t have even been a thing on the east coast period, they only exist there because Bethesda cares nothing for this IP outside of iconography and milking it for as much money as possible. That’s why Nuka cola is so much of a big thing despite being just a soda brand. The brotherhood is supposed to be a shut in xenophobic cult who only act on their own interest. They only help you in fallout 1 because the mutants were a direct threat to them. They only agree to siding with the NCR (being the only branch possible allowing them to live) because they have no other choice. The real brotherhood does not care about anything but themselves. What you see from Bethesda is because of their talentless hack writer jerking the series around, and now the writers of the show are using Bethesda’s mess to base the show on. Why don’t *you* look at the wider series as a whole rather than accusing someone else of not knowing what they’re talking about. You Bethesda shill.

This is the West coast, Supermutants are smarter, have stopped “reproducing” since the events of the first game and are now living in small settlements that may even have friendly relationships with travelling merchants and humans.
It would definitely be a sight to see Eastern Knights react to Western Mutants
@@idc6796 you also have to remember that this show takes place years after fallout 1 and 2 and new Vegas..if you take that in consideration then at this point anything could happen..maybe somehow super mutants have come back in a different way..maybe there are now two versions of super mutants living on the west..the dumb ones and the intelligent ones..not to mention the nightkin if there still a thing
@@matthewflores4183 I hope they don't add East coast mutants to the West. I think it would be better if in a potential season 2 or 3 they go east and try to greet one only for one of them to get captured and see them do some horrific stuff.

I'm was fine with Rings of Power being terrible, but Fallout fans need a win. We've had it rough for the past decade with Fallout 4 and 76.
