Great reaction! Of course every individual has his/her own likes and dislikes, but collectively America voted with its ears this song to be it's top country song of 2022 via Billboard data. In my opinion, its one of the genre's best, and even one of Wallen's best all-time. It has it all, and this acoustic version turns an already phenomenal song even more phenomenal. It peaked at #9 on the Hot 100 and #1 Hot Country Songs upon the week of its debut January 2021. Due to the failed, but corporate coordinated cancelation attempt that ensued beginning February 2021, it took this song over a year to be released to radio, but eventually made it to #1 on country radio and top 15 on pop radio. It is currently 5X platinum, but has timed out on the Hot charts.

You just described me as an adult. I was raised on Dolly, Waylon, and Willie, and i didn't have any use at all for any country i heard after about 1980. Tyler Childers was just paradigm shattering for me. When I heard him a couple of years ago, I went from "eh, modern country is trash, IDGAF" to "omg I've actually been missing something." NGL, Tyler Childers kinda made me excited about music again. It had been a minute. So then I found Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Colter Wall, Jason Isbell... is this some sort of Renaissance? 😅 IDK but there's some mighty fine songwriting happening in the genre right now.
Being a certified metal head, i agree. His voice just kinda sucks you in and makes you listen. I don't listen to country but I listen to Morgan Wallen, just hits the spot

My likes go from Classical to Swing to Country to RocknRoll to Power Ballads Heavy Metal, Gershwin, Rogers and Hammerstein.. MUSIC and Emotion can't be catorgarised . I'm not keen on this dirge. Doesn't pass the Old Grey Whistle Test. Tinpan Alley back in old days published songs : can you remember it ? Hum or whistle it back they asked the cleaning ladies. The memorable tunes got published.
Every genre of music has some like that... for every keith sweat there is a chris brown just saying r&b is pretty much dead the only new person still doing it right is teddy swims! Country and rock are that way a lot of do plays as well as a lot of don't play..... enjoyed the video have a great one.
