  • Join Paul Stankard, a 1963 graduate of Salem Community College’s (SCC) Scientific Glass Program, and Patty Clune, 2018 SCC Glass Art and Scientific Glass graduate, as they create an encapsulated borosilicate flower utilizing the techniques that Paul has developed and employed over the course of his 50+ career in crafting botanical paperweights in soda lime glass. Paul presents this demonstration as an opportunity for others to expand upon this technique and employ it as a part of their own process.
Visit Paul’s website at www.paulstankard.com to see the depth of the illusions that Paul has achieved in glass through the course of his incredible career.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, through the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and Salem County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
