I think the most important thing I want to say is that after 11 years as a fan, and watching almost every media appearance and interview by them, I have become very protective of the group members. I want everyone to love them and think they are terrific, as I do. However, I am not blind to the weaker areas. I really appreciate the way you are able to speak honestly without denigrating them. Compassion, the ability to see idols as human beings is very rare.
I am not a musician or a performer, but I have been watching them for a long time. I have seen them improve and grow and change, and these men are just stellar humans. I love so much of their music, but the thing I admire most is their bravery. I have watched them try new things and put themselves out in the world as a group and as individuals without a net. Taecyeon and Junho were always confident forces of nature, but watching them gain skill as actors as performers, as musicians, as songwriters - it has been a wonderful journey. I don't love everything they put out, but I love that they are fearless. Chansung is wildly talented in all the same areas, but focusing on developing his skills in acting and modern dance was his choice and I adore him for it. Also, he seems to have got the idea of work-life balance down, and is about to become a husband and father. I would love it if he wrote more music and put on concerts on his own, but he has made his choices and seems happy - which is the best thing to see.
Jun K. has always had confidence in his voice, but it took him time to develop the polish he has now. I do agree that he always had the voice for international stardom, but maybe he is ready now? Prior to enlistment, he appeared in a couple of musicals, and was very open about how much he had to learn. In the musical he appeared in this year, his performance was a lot more polished - but his knee gave out in one of the last performances (it was badly injured during Without You promotions). He was the last member of the team to appear on a tv show by himself. I think he is the true sensitive artist in the team, and the other members may have protected that aspect of him by allowing him to stay in the background a little? Who knows for sure? His whole heart is in every piece he writes for the group and for himself, and maybe that makes him less inclined to take risks. The song he wrote and performed after his father died in January 2012 was devastating. They are all very close friends outside of work, and he credits the members with making it possible for him to cope with that loss. There is a performance in Asia that is the week of his father's funeral, and watching him perform Hands Up, the ultimate party song, you cannot tell that he is grieving. I have a sense that Jun K. has been treasured by the other members. They are so, so gentle with him.
Wooyoung is still experimenting and trying things out, and has been open about feeling that his talent is limited, and finding it difficult to cope with failure. Every album he puts out is different, and he has been very visibly trying to find himself. I know he takes an interest in the staging and costumes for their concerts, and seems to spend time mentoring younger artists. Since he's been back, his energy is very relaxed - normally he is super fun, but he always seemed tense beneath the surface. That is gone now. The song you watched - Dook - he performed with just one guitarist, no backing track that I noticed on the music shows. You might like that.
Khun was chosen for his looks. The fact that he was a skilled pianist was not a consideration. In the original recording (and performances) of I'm Your Man, Junho sings the high note at the end of Khun's part. Now, he sings it himself. He is still developing confidence in himself as a singer. I think he's getting really good. He takes his role as visual and ambassador for JYP and 2PM very seriously, and travels more than the other members all over Asia. He is the only one who has a presence in China, because his parents are Chinese by ethnicity. He is constantly being interviewed and hosting shows. And he has grown so much as an actor. The first roles he took were only in Thailand, but he improved his Chinese and started making appearances there, and even appeared in a Korean show once he had enough confidence in his Korean. I don't know details, but it was announced that he was cast in a Hollywood film. Which is very cool. He's always performed solo in their concerts, but Let It Rain was the first time he actually wrote it himself. I love it because he loved Hottest enough to write us a song.
These men are on a journey.

Describing myself also as a long time fan and knowing what theyâve been through-since they sacrificed a lot in the past, I wish them happiness on their journey and can live their life more (wooyoungâs interview part made my heart clenched).

You wrote beautifully the feeling that a lot of their fans feel for them.. the journey these men took us with is a delight to see and feel. And I am looking forward to all that there is to come in that journey.
The 6 of them complement one another so well and work like a well-oiled machine despite not having leader (aka designated spokesperson). They ALL take on the role as spokesperson and face of the group and thus have the attitude of "I must be professional and not bring shame on the 2PM name". They probably have the least major scandals of any 2nd gen group and no one has ever questioned their professionalism or work ethic before.
I wish you can react to Junho's Insomnia, Instant Love, Insane, Wow, Mewo Tojite (Closed Eyes), Can't Let You Go, and Hyper. These songs have very different styles and mood but all are very Junho. It's actually amazing how he can pull off all those genres at ease and with amazing stage presence.

Burning Love doesn't do him justice, he has much better songs and performances with the vibe of Pressure, which you liked. I usually prefer him in his solo songs, because he shows of his skills more. I also pay attention to dancing a lot, because it's my passion and Junho is very good :)

About Pressure and it's lyrics, you're absolutely right that knowing them would make the song more impactful, because I believe it's about his struggles in his career, his road wasn't the easiest, he was often unnoticed compared to other members, which I'm sure you're find out more about as you'll continue to get to know them. I think that's why I like him, he's very admirable.

Iâve never seen any artist like Junho who is so gifted and talented. What he has to offer for his fans is beyond our imagination. Junho directed most of his solo concerts putting ideas for every part of it. The story of the song â Pressure â is more like his biography, the hardships heâd been through until he get to this fame but he is saying â itâs a little pressure â, watching a couple of songs of his never be enough to find what kind of artist he is unless watch a full playlist of one of his solo concerts.
Junho's rendition of Chansung's perfume is also amazing.. for me it's his rawest performance and one of my favorite stage of him ever.. His baritone which he rarely uses is just

I enjoy watching their solo performances because they are more focused on performing & showcasing their abilities but when they are together their energy is just different, whether performing or interviews. And that's why I just love love them and can't pick a bias.

Amazing reaction! I loved it đ I was so happy that you liked and complimented Wooyoung's voice because you know, 2PM has two really powerful main vocalists (Jun. - in the morning he attended anniversary of a chocolate brand from Belgium and Junho as BA, they held fansign for Junho also.
- in the afternoon Junho received award for best actor in Korean PD award. He is first idol actor that received it.

2pm fact: Nichkhun is the only member of 2pm who got scouted by the company. At first he wasnât confidence in dancing and singing. He said in one of a podcast that at first he didnât know how to dance and sing. But Iâm so glad and proud that he didnât give up. He worked so hard to catch up with others (singing, dancing, learning korean while living by himself far from his family at his young age) and finally he got debuted (when not all contestants got this opportunity to debut). Turns out his soft voice become favs of some people.

You have really great insight. How could you feel their real personalities or real life attitudes by listening songs. Actually the first song shows their excited, funny, cute and a bit messy characters of them really well.

Jun K is a jazz singer in my opinion..love his improvs.The musicians are great so jazz...actually my favorite genre thoi love the unique style of 2pm
Honestly I had bias but after getting into them more it is almost impossible for me to have a bias right now
they always amaze me as soloists and as a group cause the image is really different
Jun k is my favorite vocalist always having steady vocals and I really live for him rapping
Nichkhun having kind of angelic and mesmerizing voice which makes me really calm
Taec I really love when he raps and in must comeback he really showed how his voice has improved
Wooyoung love his voice but the the thing I really love about him is his live performances(theyâre full of emotion) and make me really feel him
Junho his voice is really awesome and he has lots of different songs so he can meet almost everyoneâs taste
Chansung as you said his style is really rare in K-pop perfect in both singing and rapping
But unfortunately I doubt if chansung and taec are gonna have solo albums in the future

I didnât expect you to open the reaction with Go Crazy! Do you know that Go Crazy was composed by Jun. K? That was a new era for them, they just wanted to be crazy then entered the mature and sexy world. Lol.. And yes, theyâre crazy just like what theyâre portraying on Go Crazy. If you watched their variety show, theyâre sooo wild! Lol.. If BTOB is totally weird and strange and cute, then 2PM is wild, like they have no filter lol.
- In their Grown album, each member has their own song, and Nichkun wrote Let It Rain for that. In the beginning, he said âThis is for my Hottestâ, basically that song is for his fans. The lyric is so sweet. I melted right away when I first discovered that. But now, weâre in âMomâs zoneâ, he keeps on calling his fans âMomâ lol.
- Taec is tall! Heâs 186 cm, meanwhile Chansung is 184 cm. Nichkhun 180 cm, Wooyoung, Jun. K, and Junho are 178 cm.
- Taecyeon broke his arm, thatâs why he has that scar. To make it even crazier, he broke his arm while playing arm wrestling with Junho! Lol! Everyone thought theyâre fighting, but they just played around. The CEO even thought that Chansung caused that, because thereâs no way someone smaller than Taecyeon could cause that. His big muscles squished his bone which causing it to be broken.
- Compare to the very beginning of Taecyeonâs career, he has developed a lot! Especially for his singing voice. I think a song that comes to my mind, that could make his baritone shining is âMake Itâ lol. And your explanation about Taecyeonâs personality is so correct! Heâs so free and happy to be himself.

- Wooyoung did acting together with Taecyeon in 2011. He did great there. But he didnât continue his acting career.

- The lyrics for Junho Pressure was literally described on the dancing. Itâs about him getting pressure here and there, but he never gave up despite everything. He had a difficult time on his early career, being unnoticed despite his crazy talent. And that song is about it. Somehow, heâd manage his pressure and help him develops instead.
- Actually, concert in Japan is really crazy. They can be really in complete silence when they need to, so I donât know whether they edited Chansungâs performance, or the audiences just went silence. They're so well-behaved!
- My God.. To find someone who love Chansung like I do, especially with those 2 performances that I also really love, IâM SO HAPPY!!! Tho he has many sexy dances, but those 2 performances will always be my favorite! I just got sucked in into his world. His genre, I love it so much. He might not be the perfect vocalist with crazy technique, but his tone, the way he delivers each line, his expression, the sweat , everything about him and his performance just drove me crazy!! Aside of that, I just love his genre so much. Itâs so intimate, sensual, tense, beautiful, and painful at the same time. I canât describe it properly, itâs just⌠wonderful⌠He worked really really hard for that, considering he was actually auditioned as actor in JYPE, but they made him sing and dance instead. He couldn't do that in the beginning, but wow.. He really showed that work hard will be paid off one day.
- Coming to 2PM concert will always be crazy! They served whatever they wanted! Itâs so diverse, especially when they have solo performances. To add, each of them has their own color! And itâs so crazy distinct between each other! I hope I can attend their concert one day.. I think up to this day, 2PM is the only group who has lots of performances with girl lol..
And about bias.. Junho made me interested into 2PM. Not him as an idol, but him as an actor. âJust Between Loversâ is totally one of his masterpiece, and I couldnât get out of his character from that drama. So I did my research, to heal my wound from that drama. Then baamppp⌠I got sucked in into 2PM (I really didnât want to love idol other than BTOB, but.. guess.. I have some spaces left.. I have a very big heart lol).
So Junho was my bias. Until I watched more 2PM, I fall in love to Chansung, really really hard. Especially to his personality. Heâs just⌠my type⌠I love his personality a lot, more than him as actor or idol. To add, I also love his vocal tone and his type of songs. I love his composed songs a lot! So yeah, heâs my bias right now.. He's a really really nice guy, so patient, so mature, so playful, so my type. Lol... However, it seems like he'll focus more on his acting career in the near future.. I hope he can perform something like Perfume or Boku Wa again in the future tho..

I'm always ready to watch your reactions to 2pm. You make the most natural and logical reaction to them. You're wondering how you ended here, such a musical theater atmosphere? Simply because both Chansung and Jun.K are musical theater actors! Of course Chansung alongside with Junho, Taecyeon and also Nichkhun are tv series and movies actors.
And yes that scar on Taecyeon's arm has a history. Lol! He had fun wrist wrestling with Junho and suddenly his arm broke.
At the beginning which is 13 years ago my bias was Jun. K. But right now, all of them are my biases.
More solos. You just scratched the surface...especially of Junho and Jun K who have the most solo concerts and albums. Nickhun is a late bloomer when it comes to solos and concerts. He just had his first solo concert a couple of years ago.
Junho is my bias. It's hard to pinpoint Junho's style because he does many different styles. I enjoy Crazy Love but it doesn't really showcase him well. The first time he performed Pressure he was blindfolded and the performance was even more powerful than this particular video.
Junho does a lot of dancing in his concerts...some very difficult and hard & I love them because they are so amazing. And then he does performances just standing in front of the mic and I probably love those performances more because they are so powerful.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the Frozen Heart performance. I'm very particular about the artists that I listen to and usually get into those that give me goosebumps while listening to them, they're very powerful performers and you can tell that they are passionate about what they are doing. You can feel their emotions. Junho is definitely one of those artists :) 2pm is too, but there's just something about him that attracts me the most.

@Rexcat wow, so you've known him for some time. I've only discovered him as a singer over a year ago. Before I'd known him a bit as an actor. Then I learned that he is also a singer and is in a group called 2pm. So I gave them a listen and really liked them as a group, then started listening to Junho and as you said watching him perform live was mesmarizing :) I feel like he needs to be listened to live, like all awesome artists do :) It's so much better than studio versions.

My bias is Taec but it's quite difficult to pick one because all of them are so talented and good looking... if possible you may check out more of their ballads... they're also good... and don't stop can't stop (kind of 2pm anthem) and game over (composed by Jun. K)
Don't know if anyone has recommended their live performance of 'Without You' . Wooyoung really outdid his growl there. Please check it out. It's the 6 nights performance. Personal favourite from his solo songs is 'And End'; yes, he has acted (Dream High) but he stepped back from doing so.
Nichkhun's 'Story of' is my absolute favourite from his solo MVs. Sadly, it's on 2PM Japan's YT so it might get blocked. But you can watch it for your personal pleasure. 'Let it Rain' is his solo composition.
Taecyeon's singing voice isn't 'in your face', but it draws one in. He's written great songs for 2PM. Yes, he has a scar on his arm ... story for another day đ
Junho does his stages himself. He's very detail oriented, and particular about lighting and sounds especially.
Chansung and Taec do sound close in voice, and they're brilliant songwriters/composers. I love Chansung's contemporary dancing.

If I had to choose a bias, it would be Taecyeon just because he was my gateway into the group (after seeing him in Vincenzo), but they are all so fantastic and gel so well together as a group!
in their early years, 2pm didnt perform with in-ears! and until now, they don't use in-ears consistently. ive noticed that i think taecyeon and nichkhun use them the least (could be wrong though- but im pretty sure taecyeon barely uses in-ears bc i have taec tunnel vision LOL)

Add for medley list, Iâd like to suggest you this performance of 2PM back in 2010. One of the reason why Iâve been stanning them, back then, this kind of performance is rare. No groups had done this (idk nowadays but I havenât seen like this so far). This has become one of my favorite performance from them until now.

2PM is more like Go Crazy when theyâre together. Theyâre very well behaved and highly regarded when theyâre working but a lot of fun when they let loose. Their concerts are incredible. Jun. K told them to relax during the Go Crazy MV and on stage. This song made me fall in love with them because they are so different.
Jun. K is a musical actor! Heâs been in quite a few, including one this year called Equal. One of the things I noticed right away in his solo songs is how many styles he mixes together in one song!!! Heâs well known in Japan and acknowledged by Korean industry, but until My House took off in 2020, he was kind of forgotten/ignored by Korea for many years before his military service.
Nichkhun says his music is good for falling asleep to. He has had the least confidence in his vocals and songwriting, but he put out two albums while the other members were in the military. You can tell the difference in his parts before and after 2PMâs hiatus. He has much stronger, more important parts now. His voice also blends beautifully with others. Let It Rain is his own song, though Wooyoung covered it in a concert.

Wooyoung is my bias and Iâve seen him solo with a live band. Heâs absolutely at his best with acoustic instruments - he has layers to his vocals that electronic backtracks easily cover. That breathiness is JYPâs signature, and Wooyoung has mastered it. Ooh, neat! I like how you pointed out his voice with the guitar between the chords. I hadnât heard it that way before now.
For Wooyoungâs vocals, I recommend these songs. The first two he wrote and composed, the third was written by someone else.

Wooyoung is so good at ripping my heart to shreds with his emotion. I donât understand the words, but the feeling he can convey with his voice is so strong. He has acted, but heâs much more interested in music.
Junho is intense. He never does anything less than 100%. The stage concepts for his solos are his. He loves to play with the lights too. Thatâs Cherry Junho. Burning Love is a song Junho wrote for 2PM. (You can hear Taec and Chansung during the rap part)
Chansung is incredibly beautiful. He and Jun. K are tied for my second bias. That is actual silence; Japanese audiences are incredibly polite - you can hear a pin drop sometimes. I agree that footfalls wouldâve been nice. I think he can do something like this because of more respectful Japanese concert culture and the dedication of fans. Yes, his solo work often tells stories. He has a masters degree in cinematography. I love the warmth of his vocals. Did you know he was virtually tone deaf when he was a trainee? Heâs struggled with stability issues, but heâs worked sooooo hard to develop his voice. Heâs also genuinely a really nice guy. (You MUST watch his Six Higher Days solo set!!! Let it rain was nichkhun's first solo single composed and written by himself. Wooyoung covered it in one of their concerts. It's worth a watch. Most of nichkhun's solos are in english or japanese. Actually I love his voice when he speaks english more than other languages. It's more deep and charismatic, even comparing with his mother tongue , thai.
And as you can guess , my bias is nichkhun. He is the perfect man. He's called "Mr can do" by the fans cause he's actually the ace in everything he does. And his interview with eric nam is really entertaining to watch. It's 1+ hour but definitely worth watching. Highly recommended. It's all in english too.
You should check the dance practice for Go Crazy and the live performances. They're so much fun! The guys are an amazing bunch. I actually fell in love with the members and their interactions before I was fully immersed in their music. Highly recommend you try to find some of their variety shows such as Wild Beat. They have a lot of stuff uploaded to their official CZcams account too. The episodes with Junho/2PM on MMTG are hilarious too.
Junho's put out a lot of solo music in Japan, probably the most of all the members. Good stuff. When it comes to Junho's solo performances though, we can't not talk about "Nobody Else," haha. Definitely check out his dramas too. He just became the first idol-actor to win a Korean PD Award, and he's also nominated for best actor at this year's Baeksang. It's Junho season and I'm so excited for him!

36:22 Yes. Taecyeon broke his arm while arm wrestling with junho in 2012 and he underwent a surgery for that , hence the scar. It makes him look even more attractive and manly and I'm glad he has never tried to erase or cover it.

48:40 Well , I won't say he's a professional actor. He's more on the comedian - host - mc side. But I fell in love with his acting in the drama series , dream high 1 ( 2011 ). That was the only long and important role of him in dramas. Taecyeon was one of the male leads there. You need to watch that series when you had time.
