After years of really enjoying your music, I find myself is such a place I now see the lyrics in your songs to be repulsive and disempowering. These lyrics are dripping in narcissism and low self worth. Pain hurts, people leave and saying "I gave you the world but you let it go", "Tell me I'm weighing on your mind", "Don't tear me down again"... Please feed my low self worth ego! Validate me cause I'm unable to validate myself!
Who ever this song is written about who left, is better off they left. Anyone one reading this who relates to this song, I wish you all the healing and it won't come from disempowering lyrics like this. These lyrics are toxic to growth and empowerment. It's disappointing they're over such great music.
