Train spotting Craziness. Full moon. Malfunctioning gates and gate runners

Must have been the full moon this evening. The crossing gates kept going up and down. Sometimes they were down for a long time without any trains coming. People were getting inpatient, and a few ran the gates. Also, I didn't recognize this train # 9630. I called the number to tell them about the gates. Im sure the eventually made it out there. As the NS train pass by the yelled out to thank me for the gate malfunction. Even Amtrak gave me a horn thank you.

No matter how hot it is, the sunsets in Virginia are pretty sweet. Malfunctioning RR gates have seemed to be a problem. Good thing you are calling it in to the NS. You are saving lives! They see you standing there and might think you work for the RR or the cops. lol
