I think what Josh said about preparing your inner confidence is something that everyone should do for every career opportunity. Learn from your experienced colleagues and know that you also have something to add and you're there for a reason. Great conversations Vee.
that's so true!!! thank you for watching
Civil service apprenticeships are another really good way to get started in the civil service and learn and progress quickly. I was unsuccessful for fast stream after finishing my masters but now do a policy apprenticeship in the CPS. And I'm not based in London- my team are all over the UK and there definitely is an effort to move outside of London!
ouuuhhh that's really interesting!! thank you for sharing xxx
I actually have an interview for the same position, do you have any interview tips and advice?
Hi!! Could you give me some advice on how to get an Apprenticeship in Civil Service? I’m applying for the Finance Apprenticeship
As someone who’s thinking about maybe going into the civil service, thank you so much this is so helpful!! 💛
ohhh I am so happy to hear this wow!!
My friend from school is a civil servant now and got the chance to move abroad to work and then return to London. She hates it now and wished that she did something more creative. Others love it, it's interesting to get different perspectives! You seem to be having a great time and I hope you enjoy vee!!!
such an amazing video Vee! super informative and I love the positive approach to a more diverse civil service. Received an offer for graduate job in the Australian public service last week so amazing timing and its great to see the similarities in government work between countries.
That’s so cool!!! Congratulations!!
That was a nice interview with the three people who work as civil servants listening to how they got there.
what a lovely video :D people feel so much stress when they don't know exactly what to do out of high school but you would be lucky if you witnessed 0.5% of all the jobs out there at your school's career fair. not even to mention all the jobs that haven't even been invented yet. I hope people see this and continue to be curious about their careers, great job Vee!
Yessssss this is so true!!!!!!! I love doing these! If you have suggestions for other ones. Let me know xxx
Love this!! I’m doing Public Management and Governance, and I’m in my first year. I’m so inspired!
Yaaay!! I’m so glad to hear this omg
Love your positivity!!!
Civil servant at such a young age I envy your dedication. Cheers and I wish you well.
My first job out out university was with the civil service, with them still in another department and I have also applied for the fast stream in the past ☺️👍🏻
Keep these vlogs coming sis, we love them 😍😍
Awww yay! I’m so glad to hear that
love you Vee, my favourite CZcamsr
Loving the Vibes
thank you Nigel!
As someone who just started sixth form and is currently studying BTEC Public services in hopes of being a Civil Servant, this was incredibly helpful!!
Awwwww I’m really reallly glad to hear it
Hey Vee really love your vlogs and your vidoes❤❤
thank you so much!!
I just finished my SDIP (summer diversity internship programme) yesterday at the civil service working at BEIS (Department of business energy and industrial strategy), anyone who's in their second or last year of uni should definitely apply, it was such a rewarding experience.
Awwww I’m so glad to hear this !! Wowww
Did the SDIP help you get onto the fast stream? Was it easily transferable from that scheme to the main graduate one
@@minimoman432did u find out the answer to this?
im so happy to be this early on one of vee's videos. you're so inspirational and im 13 and id really like to get into oxford but my grades aren't as good as i wish they were even though i try my best :(
your only 13, don’t put so much pressure on yourself. When GCSEs come around do your best and be proud of it, you’ll achieve anything you put your mind too
Keep on working hard dear...you have time and you will get there
@@32002kevin thank you so much
@@kutendavundoss8771 thank you so much its just a bit hard seeing other people live my dream while im here getting not so very good grades
Thank you so much for highlighting someone with a disability. We’re out here and we have goals and ambitions and a lot to offer as well! 💙✨
Hi Vee, I remember a couple of years ago you did an internship at a marketing agency. Did you decide that was not the right career for you, because you seemed really keen at the time.
Great video ! Very informative. The civil service seems to be a great place to work provided you know what you want to get into. Side note: I like your hair. Can you share details ?
I like your positive attitude
I love your content!!!!!
Thank you so much xxx
Could you do a video on professional make up and hair/ dress or presenting yourself in the workplace.
This is so weird I’m literally preparing to apply again after a failed attempt last year
omg!! I hope this was helpful!!!!
@@veekativhu_ Honestly it really did! Thank you so much fingers crossed 🤞
@@twobrokestudents448 Did you get in?
I’m so confused on all of this. I want to do an apprenticeship in the DIO for the ministry of defence. I’m based in Staffordshire but can’t seem to find any apprenticeships in the civil service or through MOD.
Great idea for the video! For the interviews I was wondering if you could consider not making so many agreeing sounds if you know what I mean. It makes it very difficult to focus on the conversation.
love you so much vee😘
the video was very informative but I have a question what is civil service ( I don't live in the U.K)
thank you!!! and that's all good here's more info to learn about it! www.faststream.gov.uk/

U have such a happy face
Thank you!! Wow
I tried to get into the fast stream but although I pass all the tests and score above average I get rejected at the first step. I tried to get feedback but no chance.
Errr sat at home doing feck all , looking after the kids … we all know !!!!
Nobody deserves to work in the civil service you will be under full control and you can expect to be locked out inside the office for several hours.
Shame that a lot of initiatives in the civil service are aimed at graduates, there’s so much talent out there without degrees that are just written off.
I think there are civil service apprenticeships that don't need a degree?
Is this a parody? These people are all a bunch of talent vacuums. 😮😮😮 When she went to the Ministry of Defence.... the very idea that these numpties are working in there if we go to war.. i give up.
So do you do as your asked to do or are you the sort of civil servant who if you don't agree with what your told to do you won't do it. Just like the scummy servants who say they won't send illegal immigrants back because they think its wrong.
