Carlos Cruz might be the most slept on modern metal drummer.
Best part is his playing is so musical and creative
seriously underrated drummer
Carlos Cruz is just insane he sounds so brutal
Isn’t he drumming for power trip now too? This guys insane metal chops are fantastic. Very metal I like
he covered for few shows only
And a solid guitarist too. He helps write a lot of the riffs from what I understand.
@@jbasti227 Correct, they talk about it a bit in the documentary about how the album was written: czcams.com/video/baOc8o9uSJY/video.html
His right vans looks like he skates too how awesome !!!
Carlos is on another level, man.
This guy is the definition of firepower!!
I saw EXMORTUS & WARBRINGER a year or two a go and this dude played drums for both bands (both sets) he is no joke.
Saw him live few years ago with Warbringer. This guy is a Beast!!
...such an incredible drummer! Warbringer just keeps getting better...
Sure do love seeing a small ass worn circle on the snare
Me too 🤘🏼🥁
Incredible accuracy
This man is flooded with pure testosterone when ripping up the kit, such aggression is appreciated sir. Good shit!!!
Them rocket toms though ♥️
Ohh fuck yeah! My favorite song on the album!
Tasty cymbal work, and those octobans...👌
Badass stuff! Great sounds
That was fucking kick ass 🤘
Accents and groove in heavy metal drumming are so underrated. Carlos is a real powerhouse
Great power and energy! Great job, dude.
Was lucky enough to see this guy play with power trip at download last year and caught a stick at the end of the show. Brilliant drummer 🤘🏼
Some serious chops right there!
Never heard of him. Really good. Good flow, and power.
Killer vid , great new school thrash metal band , saw them on tour with Exodus at the Culture room in Lauderdale they kicked ass
Flawless!
That was Sick!
Sick intro man!!!
Cool !! 👍
Absolutely amazing man. There are some seriously difficult parts in this song and you literally nailed every single one I thought you might cheap out on.
He spiced a few fills up too.
Great drummer / guitar riff writer. i'm a fan \m/
One of my fav. drummers
fabinho decides to change his career after winning epl 😂
I had the same thought 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 👍
very precise and deliberate. Sounds damn good. *sees **2:40* ok creative too
Killer drummer, killer band! \m/
Well done
More metal drummers need to utilize accents. I'm suprised that accents just aren't very prevalent in any music other than jazz and early rock. Accents can really bring a lot of creativity to drums.
Check out Jamie St. Merat from Ulcerate if you have not heard of him before. He uses a lot of dynamics and accents which is uncommon for a band like his.
Dude just listen Gojira's Mario duplantier
Listen to new sepultura
The band Death had 2 Jazz drummers. Human Album and Sound of Perseverance albums. Both fantastic full of very great drumming. Carlos Cruz here also plays/played in WHO with Chris Poland and metal guitar legend who also got started with jazz.
Solid 🤘🥁
mouthing the lyrics 3:46 is sooo badass. Love the song, love the band, long live Warbringer!
Charlie Engen vibes on that intro, very sick
Great drumming
Sick!
GREAT!!!!
Great form and powerful accents 🤘🏼🥁
I love those cannon toms

Monstro!
Juicy stuff brother
Qué excelente baterista Carlos! ojalá vuelvan a Lima!
Very good drum Warbringer omg
Best Album 2020 easily
So smooth. Makes it look so easy and it's not.
Vicious as fuck!!!
I love it!
Simplesmente espetacular
Clean.
The GOAT.
Muito bom. Todas as notas bem limpinhas.
Sad people down vote this.. thumbs up! 🤘🤘
I loved him in HeXeN too
Intro reminds me of Lifesblood/Remission era Mastodon... My favorite Mastadon.
... and he almost wrote all of Weapons of Tomorrow album. Wow.
Nivel de brutalidad extrema!!!!
De 10 espectacular
Cool intro!
Wondering if those are the new vic firth headphones for drummers?
3:32 pero que chingon mi Carlos, se ve chingonsisimo
\m/ badass
🤘🏼🤘🏼
I have the same Motorhead tee-shirt 🤘
Goodness gracious
It's good to see someone actually PLAY the drums again, I mean like with power, just beat the shit out of it!!
Oh yurr
Sickest shit I ever saw..
So angry on the drums!
Massa! \m/
Love this album!
Can we get a list of the mics used to capture this?
We will ask Carlos about the video recording/production.
421s on the toms i believe and the batter side of the kick. snare is the usual shure. Cymbals and possible OH seem like sm81s but it's been awhile since I've been around audio stuff. Going off just the body shapes.

That Pork Pie brass snare!
fucking good man
Seriously gotta figure what Pearl drumset he uses. I woulda thought it was one of the export series
2:10 noice
Sounds like old Exodus. I dig it
After winning the Premier League, Fabinho from Liverpool changes his profession and becomes a Warbringer drummer 😂😂😂😂😂
Dear god 😳
Is it the camera angle or those beaters are adjusted really short?
Seems to be pretty much in centre of the bassdrum. Maybe its an 20"? Looks small.
@@guffis486 It's a 22 inch kick.
@@BurnTheNuance then its the camera angle👍
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intro animal
is that a pearl czx?
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 😈
even the snare drum is angry
Carlos looks like Happy from Sons of Anarchy
That ride cymbal needs to be loosened up hahahahaahaha
Maybe overtighten for minimum wash.
nailed it. you played it so well.....the only issue i have is there was no showmanship.
czcams.com/video/ZY2WW1CACwk/video.html
have a look at dave lombardo playing black magic with slayer in the 90's when i reckon he
really honed his skills. he was playing a song much more simple. but christ the way he played made that song so much more metal.
it's always impressive to see people do playthroughs and be better at it than the drummer that wrote it.
But i'll always prefer an "animal" type drummer, who is a little bit messy but is animated and is exciting to watch.
When you watch Lombardo play, especially in this clip i linked. I saw a bloke that didn't give a flying fuck about if he was good or not.
he looks like an Iggor Cavalera nephew
Didn't know Nate Diaz played drums too
Hahah I can't unsee this now!
Dude fukn rips!
pake tambut woy biar nyatu sama eksperesi luuu🙈🤣
I think he might be better than Lars
Could you imagine Lars face playing this🤣🤣🤣
Reminds me of the shit my dog took this morning.
"Here's a beat they stole from Lombardo...
Here's one they stole from Menza...
Here's half a Tom Bunting section..."
Tom hunting is so underrated
I mean by this point everything has been played so it's hard to stand out especially when it comes to thrash
I want to give the album a chance, but this videos audio quality is very bad
the toms sound muddled, the entire kit in general sounds clunky and chunky
which is distracting me from this guys great chops
cant say I am a fan of the vocals on this track either
but that could just be poor EQ-ing on either the side of originally recording or on this side, Idk who mic'd this and said it sounded good, but, better luck next time.
Good Drummer, but the Snare and Ride especially bother me, as well as that right side crash, they do not sound good, bass drum is too quiet, but I can tell his timing is on spot and he has good chops, great drummer, bad audio
Carlos leaving the band fucking sucks. This dude rips
