- I thought this video needed some reworking as the first effort had a little warble to the sound, then thought, while I'm at it, I'd freshen up the visuals too, using a brighter pallet and a few closeups.

Hi Evan! I love this song and you don't often hear it!
You're awesome for fixing this up. Sounds much better. Just heard this song on the radio not by Bill Monroe but Constant Change. But this version blows that one out of the water. Only because bill sounds so good.
+John's Kite Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. I, too, think it sounds great.
Such a great song!
Oh Man!!!!! That's cool!
Nice work, thank you sir!
+Greg Baert Thank you,. Your comment is very much appreciated.
Bill recorded just 40 seconds of Going Across The Sea in a movie way back when. I turned it into a 2:40 piece because I think it's a great tune and I wanted to learn it. He never recorded it on an album or anywhere else.

+MandoMohan 'Going Across the Sea' was recorded on Bill's last recording session. The bulk of the tunes have not been released commercially, altho they may be in the near future. The tune 'Boston Boy' was, however, released on the MCA 4-disc box set of Monroe's music.
"Daingerfield" spelled with an I - named after a man from Daingerfield, TX.
Railroad Earth led me here. They do a great version of this tune.
Pallet? I suppose you mean palette
WIEDER!
Thanks for 'tweaking' the original video clip.....
+Evan Reilly Thanks Evan. Would liked to have kept the colour of your original but iMovie wouldn't play ball with me on that front.
Thanks Evan. I thought it would have kept the original colours that you have, but alas, the program refused to perform.
I did think the cut back to Bill during his final solo was better than a view of Blake Williams' trousers legs, lol.
show the banjo player's face is it scruggs?
Definitely not Scruggs, I've never in my life heard Scruggs play anything near that melodic. Scruggs also did not float his ring finger nearly as much as this player does.
