From Liz - I totally agree with you. I don't think I've ever seen him 'sparkle' with any other singer.
I just saw this video for the first time and that was my first thought ~ They're sleeping together! Engelbert seems to be very into this singer. My second thought was, what must his poor wife think if she saw this video and the two of them together? Very sad, indeed! Does anyone know what year this was and where this concert was?
Will always love Enge and we are certainly loyal fans but we all know his behavior in the earlier years.
It's so obvious in this video by his body language that there had to be something special between them.
He can't stop touching her!
He may have come to his senses when he got older but I always think about the stress he put his wife, Patricia, through for years.
Can you imagine her wondering who he was sleeping with on any given night!!??

I agree with everything you said about Enge Marianne, and there's definitely something going on with these two because Enge can't keep his hands off of her! I love his singing and in his younger years he was so very handsome, but he was so brazen with his affairs even admitting in his autobiography he had slept with over 3,000 women! I have no idea why his wife put up with his despicable behavior! You said what I've thought about saying for a while. Enge's excuse of "that was part of growing up" is no excuse for his behavior! His wife and family deserved better than that from him and although I, too, love him, I have absolutely no respect for him as a husband! Even though he may (or may not have stopped having affairs in his older years) there's no excuse for all those affairs whenever they happened. His wife had to know every time he was on the road doing concerts he was sleeping with someone else! Terrible and stressful for sure and really awful in my opinion for any married man with children! God rest her soul, she's a better woman than I am because I couldn't live with a man like that, not even Engelbert Humperdinck!

I really don't know how fans could condone this behaviour on stage with this women. It wasn't an act for the song, it was real. Total disrespect for his Patricia.
