And that's exactly why John Ross built this one: because no one builds these wagons. Oh yeah, and pre-smog stuff. We check out and appreciate his attention to detail in this build, and geek out over how clean that engine bay is.

Consider a datsun 810 wagon then. L24E six and a lot bigger than a 510. Also
The early 1980s maxima wagons were slightly bigger and looked very similar to a 510 wagon. They were coil spring rear ends so probably could be made to handle similarly since they both had live rear axles.

Ehh. I do like the Maxima style 810s, but I bet it's really hard to find them let alone parts for them. It seems S30s are the most popular then the 510s. I don't know.

The only thing I'm jealous of is the plug for where the original column shifter used to be.
you used to be able to the column blankers from nissan pdc. the US-spec 510s did not come with a column shift 3N71B- only the earlier cars with the horrible Letchworth 'full automatic' trans had column shift.

there's a 68 510 wagon out in east county i've seen it parked at stores in alpine a couple of times. its white with blue inside. OMG its nice.

I have a 70 wagon but only a L18 duel side draft webbers . Here in east Tennessee I have only ever seen 1 other datsun 510 and its rusted out so bad . Nice Wagon

It looks like my old Datsun wagon. But mine was stock and same yellow color. Same year. My car was real rusty, when I sold it in 1984. I gave it a pavement paint job.

Yellow not my color of choice but the 510 is nice, and wagons with some power under the hood and rwd are always cool. Best I've been able to own was a 92 volvo 740 turbo wagon.
