Some got excited at seeing Joanna and the game logo.
Fans understood as soon as they saw the DataDyne logo.
True (Obsessed) fans got hyped the moment they saw the laptop gun on the wall and the unmistakable door design.

It wasn't until I saw that it was perfect dark that I had a slight clue that it might have been a laptop gun in its sentry mode, only because a lot of fps games since then have had drone guns in them.
But I knew by the dD, for sure. I want a series x for this and fable alone.

I don't understand how folks get excited about a new a PD when they didn't even recognize the dD-logo
some might say that dD is as important as Joanna herself for the series.
True fans know that the DataDyne Logo is also PD for Perfect Dark, Also the Turret in the messed up hallway was the Lap Top Gun.

I personally never played Perfect Dark (more of a Goldeneye person myself), but nonetheless I wanted to capture the hype of this announcement that according to most, is the worst kept secret :P Enjoy

As a Nintendard, I had no idea so I was hype af as soon as I saw the dD-logo.
The remastered version is on game pass for the xbox one and the rarereplay supports 4k I think

The only complaint I have is the "Red" in perfect Dark should have been Dark blue.

There were so many factors working against PDZ in its development I'm surprised it was as good as it was.

I remember when Perfect Dark Zero came out aproximately 140 years ago and it was super underwhelming. The reviews, the non-biased and non-paid at least, were brutal. Hopefully this new Perfect Dark will be at least substantially better.

Can someone please tell me what this game is about? Seems to have a bit of history
I can't really say much about the story of the game. But, let's just say this game and Goldeneye were a phenomenal game back in N64 era, with its couch co-op.
Perfect Dark was the successor to Goldeneye 64, having a well paced single-player campaign, with higher difficulties including additional mission objectives, and a highly customizable multiplayer mode. The setting is still super-spy fare, but with a more futuristic sci-fi aspect to it, with weapons like a thermal sniper rifle that can shoot through walls, or a laptop with a hidden gun that could also be deployed as a sentry.
I can't say much about the sequel (prequel?) that was made after Microsoft first acquired Rare, but I believe it got comparatively mixed reviews, so hopefully this new one is a return to form.

Perfect Dark 1 has so much love and goodwill behind that even after Perfect dark zero let everyone down, people still expected a third game and asked Microsoft about it for 15-ish years
