As a 40 year old dude, I have to say that this band is a breath of fresh air. I felt embarrassed at first for liking them but hey great music is music. Thanks for making an “old” man feel nostalgic and warmhearted!
I actually think this whole scene trends a little older nowadays. People like me who were listening to tons of metalcore, post-hardcore, etc in their teens are now late 20's-30's and that trend is notable when you're out at shows. (At 29-30 now, I was there for the later part of that warped tour scene.) Even Dayseeker has been active for 10+ years. It's actually really wonderful. I remember being so self-conscious at shows when I was a teenager but now we're all like, working adults. Some people have kids with them there. It's so much more chill and non-judgmental.

Their Dark Sun album brought me to tears. Rory wrote so much emotion in to those songs. Dayseeker has knocked the last 2 albums out of the park. I already can't wait for another album!

These guys are so unique! Rory has such a unique voice too. I'm a huge fan of how he hits the high points of his songs. Sorry, it's hard to explain but he does it in this song, dreamstate, and without me. Absolutely makes these songs hit so hard. For some reason, Dayseeker reminds me alot of Breaking Benjamin for whatever reason. Just a special band!
Yes, they are. His vox have a smooth punchiness to them like mixing a hard liquor w/ a much softer drink. Anyways, I think you would love Anberlin if you haven’t heard them yet. ☺️

I was thinking the other day about how Rory's voice reminds me of Stephen's which I don't think he (Stephen) gets enough credit for how good his voice actually is since Anberlin never got that big. I was absolutely blessed by my friend in Pierce the Veil who invited me and my family to see their concert. Dayseeker was one of the opening bands on the Jaws of Life tour and we were SO grateful to see them (they’re fantastic live if you have the chance to see them). The boys in PTV are genuinely amazing guys and I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the boys in Dayseeker, but from the comments it sounds like they’re fantastic guys too… SO glad to hear that!!! And Rory, if you read this, I lost my father in 2019 and love and miss him SO much and in your music, it’s clear you love your father dearly… that love never fades. We all have a Father in heaven who cares for us… hang in there brother, He knows what we all need. Lean into family and friends, and speak to directly to The Lord and He will comfort you. Love to you and the boys in Dayseeker! So glad to have been introduced to your music!

Saw these guys live last night and they are just unreal performers. Set was only an hour as they were special guests but Rory, Ramone, Gino and Zac were amazing live. I no longer have any voice so glad I was at the barricade.
I’m 59 and this has to be one of the best songs I’ve heard in years. Great voice. He could sing the phone book. Oh wait, they don’t make them anymore. 😂.
