- I was watching a show Countess is on called "Hollywood Divas" and was like, THIS WOMAN CAN SANG! Unfortunately, she has a thyroid condition, which affects the quality of her voice, but Countess has always had a gorgeous voice and I had to make a video spotlighting her talent.

She is such a great singer. I always looked forward to when she sang on Moesha or The Parkers.

Yes..her illness has effected her voice which is so heartbreaking because she could really sing and has been going so since she was a young child. I hope she can find her place in the music business..maybe not singing, but as a songwriter, or some other areas. Her singing voice in it’s current state just isn’t the same, but I am a big fan and wish her well.

I wouldn't be able to listen to myself if I ever lost my voice. It would probably be the hardest thing I can imagine besides losing someone.

its so striking you say that because I rememeber reading an atricle on whitney 2 years after she died and it was about how much it messed with her and her confidence that she didnt sound the same as she used to, because that was what she was known for. so when you lose your voice, it kind of is like someone dying to them because that is what made them who they were. it makes me caution before i make fun of countess again because she was incredible.
Have u heard her. Bless her heart. I think it took a toll on her. She still haves it but you can tell its not the same. I love her and always will. I hope she enjoys the negs and keep it moving.

+ImperfectbutRedeemed yea i know. but the way my life is set up, doctors don't have the final say! lol. although her new song sounds nothing like her old voice, i still hear some potential... im just gonna hold onto some hope. i've always loved her voice. i know all the songs she's ever sang on the parkers or moesha. 😁

ImperfectbutRedeemed well they did that on purpose. I was born 2003 but my family and others are born before and I grew up watching it. But brandy’s character “moesha” was meant to not be able to sing. Nobody has nothing on brandy. She is in her own little world. Vocal bible 😍

Came looking for that 40s era episode of Moesha. Most impressed by that clip because she nails the style and tone so well, even though I don't know the name of the song. Countess' singing has stuck with me. Her voice was incredible.

Yes, a wonderful lady. She had thyroid problems and it caused hoarseness and swelling in her throat. She is a very talented actress. She can do impersonations of singers and celebrities. She is a class act. God bless her!!!

@@lancel4908 They only saying that because she has more range but let’s not play on countess tho she has done a lot of genres, R&B, Jazz, country, hip hop, r&b/hip hop, new jack swing and we don’t know how many albums she could have sold because she never got the push and her album came out before brandy’s if countess would have gotten a promotion and a solid team behind her it could have very well been her outselling all of them… that’s why when moeisha was on alot of the viewers were saying countess is better that’s where their feud stemmed from originally but they are both great singers

"My Bittersweet Blues" I think it was an original song for the episode on Moesha. Nobody can find an official recording tho.
