There is applause in his DECISION to turn his life in the better path way but the entry words are a head scratcher.
"His gun went off..." Firstly, WHAT was a 15-year old doing with a gun; HOW did a 15-year old have a gun with/without guardian knowledge? WHY was a 15-year old in possession of a loaded weapon and not understand the safety precautions?
And to casually use the words "fell in to making bad choices"..."influences from rappers, exposure to gang culture, and school pushed him towards crime" - - - gm3b!! This isn't taking accountability but it is placing/pushing blame elsewhere.
As a single mom, knowing the streets of Chicago and Houston aren't riddled with gold, I also understand that by toddler age you know the differences between right and wrong. My kids (now in military and law enforcement) grew up listening to Hip-Hop and rap; and choice of associations leads you into the realm of gang culture BUT choices are made not fallen into.
I don’t give a $hit what anyone says… guns don’t just "go off. Boom." Something was done to make it go off, whether he admits it or not.
