If you don't know his History here is a small paragraph. When he was in Roma Youth he was considered a big big prospect at Left Back but during a match he DESTROYED his right knee. Not just the ACL but everything around it, every ligament... They told him that he could close his career there but he fought to come back (apparently his family also was one of those supportive families who supported him totally in this phase and gave him the mentality). In the next years he was mainly trying to get back his confidence and physical form. After he was trashed by that shit manager of Mourinho he went to Basel FC where he rebuild his confidence and found a new possible role as Centre back. Back to Italy in Bologna, he found a manager in Thiago Motta that gave him his final boost and made him into the focal point of the defense in his system. He may be unknown to some, but his drive to come back after that career threatning injury is the proof that he is a total fighter and also his debut in our national team (where he was one of the only 2-3 players with good games) has shown that he has the mental, physical an technical strength to be a great great player.
What a story and I'm glad you see Mourinho is overrated. He is crap at developing players. This explains also why Calafiori wants to join Arsenal because he believes Arteta is the type of coach that he can trust who will take care of him and develop his abilities.
It’s really crazy to me how an excellent performance in a major tournament can impact the way we perceive a player. A prime example of this is Riccardo Calafiori as the way that we’re talking about him, you would think that he’s one of the best defenders in the world and plays for a big club. Going into the EUROs, apart from Bologna fans who watch Serie A, he was a pivotal player when they secured champions league football last season, he was a bit of an unknown player as I never even knew who he was, but given his performances throughout the tournament, there is a lot of hype around this guy and everyone is talking about him. Italy just has an aura when it comes to producing top caliber defenders. During their opening game of the tournament against Albania, he was terrific in the way in which he marshaled their backline and had a great game and while he scored an own goal against Spain, his most standout performance was against Croatia where he got an assist and hardly even put a foot wrong at the back and had he not served a suspension against Switzerland in the RD of 16, would Italy have been in the quarterfinals of the EUROs. He has great ball playing abilities he’s very strong and good in the air and suits the role of a modern day defender. As good as he’s been, you can really call a guy who’s not even the best defender on his team, the best defender of the tournament because Alessandro Bastoni is one of the best defenders in world football and has been for a while and has been pivotal to Inter Milan’s success in recent seasons with how he’s guided them to 2 Serie A titles in 4 years and they were in a champions league final not too long ago. It’s true that a major tournament cannot be the indicator for judging the potential of a player, Calafiori is set for a big money move after the EUROs and his price tag is only going to increase from here.
To just imagine he is only 22 and Saliba is 23 and their is time to improve is just scary and exciting .Can't wait to see him with Saliba grow together 🥹
@rom7000 I have been following your videos since a child, almost since 2013, I can't find the old videos for some reason. You even used Ronaldinho videos, I love your edits.
if he comes to arsenal, how the fuck are you going to get through the defence with his, declan and salibas tackling. coyg bring in the 21st century libero
It's so funny that you guys discovered him now and everyone randomly wants him. You just saw one or two games and you are like: "WOW HE IS SO GOOD I WANT HIM IN ARSENAL/TOTTENHAM/CHELSEA/RANDOM SHIT PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM". But I guess this is how english fans behave. When he was not even 20 he was considered one of the biggest prospect in Italy (before the injury) and did an amazing season in Bologna. Yes guys, there are a lot of good players in other leagues whch are not premier league, I know that's a big plot twist
Salah was nothing special at Fiorentina and Roma. Then Liverpool picked him up and he became one of the premier leagues greatest wingers ever. People overrate the prem so much it's insane.
Im a Chelsea fan, id want him, but if i take my interest in him out of the question, id advise him to stay in serie A for maybe 2 more seaons man, i can just see what he can become

He is a better midfielder than United's entire midfield combined. As a centerback.
🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mainoo is a better defender than him.
@@JoeMama-yu5zf far from so

and I still can't believe Roma sold this guy ever since he left. they even used to play him as a box to box midfielder.

he did play for top club. well depends on your definition of "top club". Basel won the Swiss League 11 times in the last 20 years
Arsenal had a bit of weakness in the defense 💔 Now Calafiori strengthens our backline completely 💯 #coyg
Can't believe arsenal is on the verge of signing him

He is the New Maldini. Plays like him and looks like him.
Good clearance recovery and transitions

Bro, Massive Respect for putting Progressive House 😭❤
Btw, why Calafiori didn't playing vs Switzerland?
He was suspended for getting two yellows
He love to throw body like Maldini. Relentless but a bit worry over his injury history, playing in PL is physically tough
he is good
Welcome to Arsenal.

Welcome to Chelsea 🎉
Lmao he is coming to Arsenal
made in basel
I don't understand how united is flirting with Everton over Branthwaite when this gem of a player is literally available.
United been finished since that old cheat fergie
@@modini5089 still the biggest club in England.
Some misguided people feel he is coming to take Gabriels position. He is not. In fact he wil make him more stronger.

He is too slow, won't survive in the Premier...We need a fast ,strong center back, this is another Kiwior
