      @@sweetcfmermaids1790 I want to try something with lime green paint and vinyl not sure if it will work tho its for a car emblem

    • @sweetcfmermaids1790
      @sweetcfmermaids1790  Před 4 lety

      If what your using to make the car emblem is resin/epoxy you can use paint to mix with your epoxy as long is not an oil base type of paint. You can make the piece mix paint into it once dried insert your vinyl the do a top coat of cleat epoxy/Resin on top of your finish piece. It’s what we call doming your piece. Hope that makes since.
      The only issue I would see is the epoxy/resin doesn’t do well in high heat. Some do but not all of them.

    • @sweetcfmermaids1790
      @sweetcfmermaids1790  Před 4 lety +1

      There are some epoxy/resins that withstands certain amount of heat. But I honestly don’t recommend a piece for outside only use. Maybe you can try fiberglass.

    With that type of silicone that you used for the molds, does it ever make the resin come out cloudy on the side facing down? That’s the issue I keep having with the liquid rubber I used to make my molds.

    • @sweetcfmermaids1790
      @sweetcfmermaids1790  Před 4 lety

      The cloudiness you are referring to means your mold is not shining, there are shiny molds and opaque molds. The shiny molds makes your resins piece to look shiny and vice versa. Hope I explain that correctly and didn’t confuse you.

  • @sallypoultney4331
    @sallypoultney4331 Před 4 lety +1

    How thick are your molds? The bus looks thinner in the mold then your actual bus you showed with how you put on the vinyl and then resin them. The scrub looked thicker in the mold. Also, where did you get the heart and half hearts to make the straw mold? Do you create?
